Active shooter reported at Iowa high school

Breaking now...

Police swarmed an Iowa high school early Thursday amid reports of an active shooter.

Multiple law enforcement agencies rushed to Perry High School, about 25 miles from Des Moines, at about 9 am, WHO13 reported. Multiple ambulances have already been seen entering and leaving the school, according to the outlet.

School is in lockdown...with no further information available as yet.

It's curious how tightly and how quickly the lid was clamped down on this alleged event.

Probably doesn't fit the medias narrative so they are going to do their best to cover it up.

Can't use it to further progress the "disarm the people train" so why make a big deal out of it?

I wonder if it's a coincidence that this occurs in Iowa...just before the Iowa caucus.

Apparently, police state the scene is no longer "active"...but confirm a mass shooting was initially reported.

Initial report of a gunman turning the gun on himself.

Sigh. Hate to hear this. My daughter experienced this at MSU. She was not in that building, but had to hide in place and knew some of the victims.

This situation had been her worst fear since the drills starting in grade school.

The fear as a parent listening to the police scanner while you're 2 hours away is awful.

Feel for the students and parents.

It's just our low life media looking for blood in the water.... Like they did when a lunatic wrecked his car and ran into the Colorado courthouse to shoot his gun this week.

There will be other shootings around campuses this month that get zero attention.

REPORT: Shooting occurred at 7:45 AM...First day of classes.

POLICE: Multiple gunshot victims located by police.

Officer arrived within 7 minutes of shooting.

POLICE: Shooter has been identified.

POLICE: No further danger to public.

REPORT: Two teachers report seeing the school's principal being shot.

Teacher reports seeing principal shot
Two teachers said Dan Marburger, the principal of the high school, was shot.

Sad.

So it's looking like the shooter killed him/herself after wounding the principal and a student.
Hopefully, this is the full extent of the victims.

Do we need to ask ourselves....Why is school shootings so prevalent in America and not other countries.
