Luck in Football (soccer)

Time and time again I hear managers and players always complain about having bad luck when they lose. That is just the weakest excuse to say. There is just no such thing as luck in socer. Soccer is the only game in the world where you can say luck had a part to play, which is so wrong. Its just an easy way out. If you work hard enough then you have earned getting that luck. A lucky deflction, a lucky own goal - no such thing. The team that earned a goal that way created it themselves - no luck was involved. I wish people would stop saying luck was involved!
