Are the protests more about not getting the hostages back.

I think most Israelis are for the total take down of the Hamas government with superior military force.

The notion that Hamas is the "elected govt" in Gaza is iffy at best. The last election was in 2005. Most of the current population there were children at the time.

The "mess" has existed long before Hamas existed. Unless one side completely eradicates the other, there is no solution.

www.reuters.com...#:~:text=In%20a%20possible%2 0sense%20of,the%20Tel%20Aviv%20University%20poll.

In a possible sense of the mood, almost 60% of Israelis, including 40% of Arab Israelis, cited destroying Hamas in any way possible as the most important goal of the war, according to the Tel Aviv University poll.

Around a third said bringing the hostages home was the main goal.

Also, that Hamas has vowed to repeat October 7th over and over again.

You can't negotiate with psychopaths that want you all dead.

HAMAS planned and practiced the attack for 45 days, just across the border from Israel.

Israeli spotters on horseback in 1915 would have noticed this activity.

Today...the activity would have been 100% impossible to miss, by any nation who owns satellites and glances at GAZA from time to time.

As was stated in the OP , I also think a significant proportion are those who have had enough of Netanyahu and his government of convenience , let's not forget his government were deeply unpopular and facing collapse before October 7th.

Sorry but there is nothing 'iffy' about it. They are the elected leadership of Gaza. They are running everything. And the "Palestinians' overwhelmingly support them.

Israel has better human rights, treat women better, was opening up work programs to people of Gaza where they could make ten times the money, and shares holy sites in Israel. Israel has a Supreme Court that ruled against using human shields in around 2001.

What do you think Hamas total rule would look like.

Ok?

The majority of Israel still wants Hamas crushed. That’s not going to change with who’s in power.

Well you don't need pandering bias stories of protestor cries to find out how Israeli's view The Netanyahu government.

Israel Democracy Institute

They are unbias.

In this thread, EVERYONE IS right.

Israel simultaneously wants The IDF to finish their objective against Hamas, free ALL hostages, and then remove Netanyahu from leadership through an election.

They also don't want more October 7ths and want Hamas eradicated.

With Hamas still intact there will be no peace.

And how do you get peace when you live next to Gaza firing thousands of missiles over the years. Nor do Israelis like have to build blast proof playground equipment and holding schools in bomb shelters. Nor like to be murdered, raped, tortured out of existence.

Israelis were dying without going to war, just being reactionary didn’t work.

I think the majority want peace ,.

... and the only way to do that is to crush Hamas. Just screaming 'peace' and having a ceasefire isn't peace. It's just a pause in which Hamas reloads to attack Israel again. NO PEACE.

First off, Donbass doesn't want to be annexed. They want to form their own country.

That out of the way, the unrest in Ukraine began when Russia bribed the president at that time ro pull out of a trade deal with the EU. They then followed this up by committing terror attacks against government buildings in Donbass. Ukraine responded with an anti-terror operation.

So please elucidate how Ukraine deserved to be invaded by Russia

Exactly, I find that very troublesome, we are missing something and Netanyahu is playing dumb.
