Tragically, the person spitting on our brave soldiers is the Commander-In-Chief himself, Joseph R. Biden.

As VP, he insulted our Troops by calling them "Stupid Bastards" at a nationally televised event.

Funny how this type always disappears when confronted. I really would like to hear the reasoning behind his actions, but I can only assume he is ashamed of himself. Obviously he doesn’t care about the pain that he caused others. In his mind the Vietnam vet deserves that pain, so does anyone that doesn’t agree with his philosophy. That includes Trump, republicans, veterans, anyone who would have a different opinion than him, and dare express it.

Hating veterans isn’t very fashionable these days at least not directly. Eventually they show themselves, and we have more than a few on here.

First, don’t thank me for my service, it’s insulting. Seems we have a very different recollection of the events of the times. Also I call BS on your “fringe jacket” story. But if it makes you feel better about yourself, go for it. I doubt any returning soldier was worried about their safety from protesters. As a matter of fact, it was anger not fear we felt. Consider yourself very lucky we were in uniform.

I often wondered how people justified their actions of the time. Seems you turn it into some fantasy where you were the hero saving the cowering soldiers from the angry protesters with a fringe jacket and flowers.The fact that you were anywhere near returning soldiers tells me that you were there to protest. To make them feel more pain than they were already in. You should feel proud of your success.

Now you have another cause don’t you. Hating on another group of people. Perhaps someday you can come up with a story about how you saved a Trump supporter from an angry mob.

Soothe your conscience any way you like, we both know the truth don’t we. Stand by that wall all you want, the people that are represented there can’t call you out. But I can. No, I didn’t come back in a box, as a matter of fact, I don’t think I really came back at all.

A few years ago my dad, (stepdad) died. While the family was bickering over everything I only asked for his pins and medals.

He was 101st Airborne during Vietnam.

His Bronze Star, Purple Heart, other medals sit next to my paltry collection.
