Here is the video by the famous astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson and his reasons for declining the official invitation. He makes valid arguments and points out that he would love to see the alleged 'alien corpses' just like any other scientist but these official invitations should be made to a range of biologists from all over the world and not to him as he is an astrophysicist. He adds that as far as he knows it hasn't happened yet and therefore he and many others are very skeptical of the claims made.

Personally I would have accepted the invitation and upon arrival I would have held a press conference encouraging the Mexican Congress and the Government of Mexico to invite as many scientists as possible from all fields and especially biologists, medical experts, experts in genetics, and other experts in the biomedical areas, as well as anthropologists and archaeologists, so to examine the corpses and share their conclusions with the rest of the world. Physicists are also needed.

It seems that Neil Tyson has already concluded these alleged corpses are not real and it's understandable why he doesn't want to associate himself with story altogether by declining the invitation.

Do you like the way Neil Tyson presents his ideas and knowledge on various shows? A slightly different question I think it's related to the topic of this thread.

Personally, I couldn't care less what this clown has to say.

He thinks what he is told to think.

I would have accepted the invitation to go to Mexico if I was him. He said that they should invite biologists and that's fine by me but at the same time they could invite a number of scientists from all fields. I see nothing wrong with it.

Or he thinks rationally and based on facts. Take a look at how the "ufos" have changed since the 1940s, basically in step with our technological development. And the aliens have also changed from little green men to interdimensional beings or even demons. You could almost assume that our imagination is adapting to the status quo. These Mexican bodies are certainly not aliens, otherwise the world would know.

Rosby123? Kosimir? Quit publicizing this hoax and ask to see what the real specialists want to see, the dig site where the mummies came from. But you will never see it because the mummies are constructed from illegally dug up human remains which were then illegally desecrated into these fakes.

I already posted about Tyson in the existing thread on this topic, there was no need to create a new thread on the same topic which was already covered in the existing thread. Here's an excerpt of my post from that thread talking about Tyson:

www.abovetopsecret.com...
"Neil deGrasse Tyson is an expert astrophysicist, who received an invitation to examine the mummies, and posted a video on youtube saying yes he's an expert in astrophysics, but he's not accepting the invitation because he's the wrong kind of expert. Why don't they invite the right kind of experts, like mummy experts? Here's the right kind of expert, Alexander Sokolov, an anthropologist in the "Scientists Against Myths" youtube channel, explaining that "Jaime Maussan's scholars" are the wrong kind of "experts" (like Neil Tyson, they may be experts in something, but not the right area for this type of evaluation).

Who Is Selling Aliens? Nazca Humanoid Mummies: The Big Fraud. Episode-1 | Fake science spotlight

19:04
The humanoid mummies of Nazca are a totally different thing! Their authenticity has been confirmed by international experts such as X-ray specialists, medical examiners and geneticists! Even by a dentist from Saint Petersburg, Russia! International experts.

For some strange reason, this international team of experts doesn't list a single archaeologist, or paleontologist, or anthropologist, or a mummy expert. In other words, there's no specialists in the team who should have examined the mummies in the first place!
So the anthropologist is pointing out that experts like him, and paleontologists, and mummy experts should have been the experts consulted initially."

It seems that Neil Tyson has already concluded these alleged corpses are not real

Maussan has a habit of publicizing the opinions of the wrong kinds of specialists, and not mentioning the findings of the right kinds of specialists who have seen the X-rays and CT scans of the fake mummies proving without any doubt they are constructed from, among other things, human bones over 1000 years old, obtained illegally by grave robbers from undisclosed locations. There is literally no doubt they are hoaxes, and the post in the other thread covers the evidence proving that partly in the post and in even greater detail in the youtube videos linked by the right kind of scientists.

Yeah. Banned and back. Like the 12th time.
And yeah, this is a hoax. A real bad one.

You have confused me with someone else I am afraid. Take a look at my opening page please.

If I was him I would have accepted the invitation and encouraged the Mexican Officials to invite scientists from all over the world to see and examine the 'corpses'.

And I don't know what you have written before in other threads. So whether there is a need for a new thread that's not for you to say. You are not the only person who can post. But don't feel threaten when others post or when your worldview is challenged.

You may want to consider other views too.
A poster above said he doesn't care what this clown has to say referring to Neil deGrasse Tyson as someone who follows orders and is told what to say.

My position is clear and I understand why he has declined the invitation but I would have acted differently and used my credentials to bring more pressure to the Mexican Officials and attention to the story.

They look like the creation of a 6-year-old wean ffs and are about as real as Santa Claus.

And i don't think they needed an astrophysicist to tell them that as the position involves studying large objects, such as planets, as well as tiny particles, weans sculptures not so much.

The evolution of our perception is clear over the years and you're quite right things have evolved over the last 7-8 decades in the way we perceive and think of aliens. That doesn't make the existence of aliens impossible but it shows we are going with the flow and adapt to the new ideas even if they have no basis in reality and science.

That's what he thinks and he said they need biologists. I would still accepted the invitation if I was him to go and see these alleged 'corpses' and then put pressure on them to invite many more scientists (especially biologists) to examine them. So the hoax would have been officially exposed and made public given the circumstances.

OK if I were to believe you, and you're not the same person, each of you is still conducting a "stealth marketing" campaign, repeating the exact same promotion of the well-documented hoax, against the site terms and conditions:

"20a) Unauthorized Marketing: ATTENTION MARKETERS: You will not engage in efforts of viral or "stealth marketing" on these discussion boards without prior approval of TAN. If marketing activity for the promotion of any other commercial entity outside of these boards is discovered you agree that you are responsible for paying TAN $2.00 US for each "thread view" of the thread(s) in which your marketing messages are contained. Your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions of Membership for joining these discussion boards signifies your approval of these payment terms. "

So as long as you're ok with paying $2 for each thread view, carry on with your "stealth marketing", you agreed to pay it when you signed up here.

As he suggests sending out tissue samples to labs with established scientific procedures with trained biologists and geneticists would be the way to establish any sort of veracity and/or credibility.

They look like they are made of paper and plaster of Paris all the same so good luck on that score to them.

I strongly agree they should be sending tissue samples and DNA in various labs to be examined by experts. I don't see anything wrong with official invitations either.

What marketing and what promotion??
You must be joking!

You seem to be having issues with the topic altogether and I wonder why. There is no need to become paranoic about it as it's most likely a hoax but the topic of this thread is about the response of Neil Tyson to the invitation he received.

I have found his speech cadence to become annoying. At first, I thought it somewhat different, but the more I listened to him the more it bothered me, especially when he draws out his speech with pauses and slow pronunciation of words.
