Earthrise…

Dec, 24th 1968

I clicked the shutter on the rise,

Time before me lasted as I got the prize,

She could not believe this surprise,

This was not a sunrise,

I could not believe me eyes,

Earth people thought this was a disguise,

Surely we thought we met our demise,

We flew away from blue skies

You won’t believe our lies,

Everything we did was unwise,

You should have heard our cries,

As we said out goodbyes,

Sadly we were compromised…
