I find it difficult to follow what is wrong with using the popular vote which is a direct form of democracy.

Same must be applied in the presidential elections, the electoral college system is outdated and unfair but that's another conversation.

Dude.
It is simply because the majority of people are stupid and vote how you tell them for a free lunch and a bottle of liquor.

No.
But I do not have to guess you think that is a slur

It is my opinion that sovereign citizen was only relevant during the voluntary system incorporated by USA INC years.

We have come a long way from the Magne Carta in interpreting that word.
It means something different now that we are out of the corporate years.

Originally it was defined by the Declaration oof Independance.
Interpreted differently during the Corporate years.
Being redefined again as we get closer to a Convention of States and another Constitutional Convention.

A democracy is a form of government where every person has a voice. This could be by representation or directly.

The United States of America is a republic that governs under a representative democracy and uses a combination of socialism and capitalism as is economic model.

Wikipedia couldn't have said it better lol

We are a representative democracy.

Or you I suppose.

I didn't get your opinion on the topic.
Agree or disagree with what Ohio did.

Do I have to? Seems a bit pushy.. Lol

My opinion is on page 4, upper third of the feed, and I neither agree or disagree with what Ohio did. I'm still trying to digest why being able to have abortions is celebrated. You'd think the process would be off putting but it's made out to be "a rights if passage" by certain boastfully, cheerful crowds of women and their supporters.

It's disgusting is my point. This is a win you don't "rub in".

If you make this argument then immediately elections become the task of the stupid and when Biden or Trump are getting elected then the 'stupid' or stupid (use it as you wish) decide the fate of this country. This argument can be used against the voters of any party.
Having referendums is compatible with a democracy or representative republic or whatever you want to call it.

Ok that's your view.
You don't have to agree with abortions.

There is nothing wrong with it. I am fine with Ohio wanting to let women murder their own children. It's what they voted for.

If you think every abortion is murder then you neglect all the various cases where it's medically necessary.

I am making this argument.
We have aggressively been dumbed down to the point that a litmus test of some sort is now required to vote.
I say let's begin this by requiring proof of citizenship.
Then you have to pass some sort of simple civics exam.

Like being able to balance a checkbook and knowing something about debt and budgets.
Word it in a way where you get a free cookie if you fail a trick question for rights to entitlements.
Make it easy

Killing an unborn child is murder no matter how you dress it up. If it's medically necessary, then it is. But it's still murder.

If you believe abortion is equivalent to murder then it is.

The problem is the bulk of lawmakers and judges (and voters) don't agree with it and this is the reason abortion isn't considered murder but it's lawful in many states and in most western countries.
