I find it difficult to follow what is wrong with using the popular vote which is a direct form of democracy.
Same must be applied in the presidential elections, the electoral college system is outdated and unfair but that's another conversation.

A democracy is a form of government where every person has a voice. This could be by representation or directly.
The United States of America is a republic that governs under a representative democracy and uses a combination of socialism and capitalism as is economic model.
Wikipedia couldn't have said it better lol
We are a representative democracy.
Or you I suppose.
I didn't get your opinion on the topic.
Agree or disagree with what Ohio did.

Dude.
It is simply because the majority of people are stupid and vote how you tell them for a free lunch and a bottle of liquor.

Do I have to? Seems a bit pushy.. Lol
My opinion is on page 4, upper third of the feed, and I neither agree or disagree with what Ohio did. I'm still trying to digest why being able to have abortions is celebrated. You'd think the process would be off putting but it's made out to be "a rights if passage" by certain boastfully, cheerful crowds of women and their supporters.
It's disgusting is my point. This is a win you don't "rub in".

There is nothing wrong with it. I am fine with Ohio wanting to let women murder their own children. It's what they voted for.

If you make this argument then immediately elections become the task of the stupid and when Biden or Trump are getting elected then the 'stupid' or stupid (use it as you wish) decide the fate of this country. This argument can be used against the voters of any party.
Having referendums is compatible with a democracy or representative republic or whatever you want to call it.

If you think every abortion is murder then you neglect all the various cases where it's medically necessary.

Killing an unborn child is murder no matter how you dress it up. If it's medically necessary, then it is. But it's still murder.
