I think we are done as a country. Even if a solid republican becomes president in 24, he's going to have the "deep state" to contend with, as well as his own party of establishment and rinos to deal with, let alone the democrats shenanigans from day one.

I will say that if the republicans get the presidency, the house, and the senate, it will at least slow our demise down.

The leading anti-Trump nominee is Kiki whats-her-face.

If she gets in, we're all so totally screwed.

I disagree.

Shut off the internet, restrict food and the ability to work.

Then you'll see.

Yet, were that to happen, it'll be far past way too late.

As fraught with distrust as the US electoral systems are, do any of you naysayers have a better and fairer alternative?

a) paper ballots only, no electronic machines

b) nation wide Voter ID mandatory for all voting methods

c) one day elections

d) voting by mail is only for certain exigent circumstances, ballots must be requested by the Voter, Voter ID must be presented with the ballot request, all such ballot requests must be recorded and preserved

e) all ballots are counted and stored in the precinct where they are cast, and are never to leave said location until archived no sooner than two years after the election.

ETA: oh, and

f) any ballots that do not conform to all chain-of-custody requirements are declared null and void.

That all sounds reasonable to me.

Not sure how the American people will like being universally numbered and ID'd, though.

Have you ever heard of "social security numbers"?

Yes. Should SSN's be used then? It would be efficient.

What about using them to get a job, or as ID at banks? Can you see that once you start replicating this whole number-identity thing, stuff can go off the rails fairly quickly in privacy and surveillance issues?

Besides, "a rose by any other name would smell as sweet". Everyone is already identified. People are just resistant to using numbers for it.

What are you talking about? Pretty much anyone and everyone a;ready has ID... if you don't, you can get one for voting purposes either free or extremely cheap.

Everyone who can vote should have a SSN. One vote per SSN.

No. Just no. I already have enough trouble refusing to provide my SSN to everyone who thinks they are entitled to it.

Considering the amount of ID theft/fraud, the last place I want my SSN is stored in some other government databsswe where it can be stolen.

State issued ID is all that should be needed, as long as it is enforced.

When you register to vote you receive a voter ID number and card.

A voter ID card or number (which can be looked up) along with a photo ID, should be what's required to vote.

Keeping those voter rolls clean and up to date is also important. A company called Fractal is developing AI software that does just that, and does it surprisingly well.

Excellent adds, and I would go even further and state that everyone should have to re-register - or 'confirm' their registration - before every single election.

We all know the fraud and how Biden could get a historical number of votes to even be more popular than Obama's first term by just sitting in his basement.

We know states really do not keep up with voter rolls, it is estimated that 30%+ of the names on each state voter roll are incorrect. The Democrats didn't want to clean these up because each of those incorrect voters was a mail ballot just waiting to be used. In the past, it wasn't such a big deal as one still needed to physically be there to vote so outdated rolls didn't change much, BUT holy hell automatically creating a ballot for each name on the roll and it turns it all into a massive scam.

Now add to this the Democrat's "grassroots" campaign that is going door to door to gather votes. Many states allow this and the Democrats have been experts in it, but add the massive influx of ballots and you have many that would never have been counted if people went to vote in the first place, or the voter rolls were up to date.

I said before that Democrats used school buses to go around and pick up the homeless and the poor and drive them to vote, oh BTW give them 20 bucks to "eat" and of course, you need to vote for XYZ. Now come forward to 2020 where all they needed to do was go house to house and gather ballots, help people fill them out, and even buy ballots as others gathered them too to make money. They would even gather Republican ballots as a favor, not that they would see the drop-off box though. Then we had the drop-off boxes that the liberals pushed extremely hard to have all over the place. This allowed one person to dump any number of votes without oversite as to why one person might have 30 votes over and over. Oh in WA one of my workers said he had to drive 2 hours to vote in person as the state only offered limited walk-in voting places, and told everyone to just use the mailed ballots.

As you think about the availability of ballots and uncontrolled dropoff boxes 81 million votes is easy to get when 30 million most likely would not have voted in the first place or were invalided to vote.

Duuuude.
Add to the homeless equation for voting.
In the cities I have been able to verify they rounded up most of the homeless and placed them in large parking lots marked off with 6' spacing.
They signed up all of them as voters.

Then the real sinister part.
They used them for covid numbers and disappeared them.
Look to warm climate regions to see none of them returned.
Just a new wave of homeless in place of.
And they keep disappearing.
Where are they going if not back to warm climates?
And DO NOT ANYONE TELL ME THEY SHIP THEM TO OTHER STATES!!!
That does not hold water

It's 2023, how hard would it be to register for a state-level voter ID card? At the state level, it takes very little to change an election into the win column many times we are talking barely 100s of votes. I for one would like people to be legal to vote, and vote within their state. That is all I ask for.

Exceptions can be made, you know that 119 year old Black lady who can't prove who she is, but like Absentee Voting it takes a little effort to apply and process your request that mass mailings do not have.

Georgia Governor @BrianKempGA ’s Legal Team has formally notified Georgia SOS Brad Raffensperger @BradForGASOS of Recording and Publishing Factually False Results concerning the 2020 Presidential Election, to include 17,852 INVALID “VOTES” recorded from @FultonInfo County, ALONE!

17,852 INVALID “VOTES” were more than 4,000 “votes” MORE than necessary for @realDonaldTrump to have won the State of Georgia in 2020.

Twitter/X
Leading Report
and from BKPpolitics posted on Rumble: Joe Rossi on the 2020 Election: The Error, The Lie, and The Cover Up

Bottom line: There was election fraud in Fulton county Georgia, and there were more than enough "errors" and fraudulent votes to hand Trump the state of Georgia in 2020.

I wouldn't get your hopes up that eventually enough fraud will be acknowledged in the swing states to finally prove Trump won the 2020 election, but I wouldn't rule it out either. This is at least a step toward public disclosure that one state and possibly more were given to Biden that Trump actually won.

June 23, 2024 (FYI Update/Refresher)

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger admitted in court that what President Trump asked him to do (Find enough missed Trump votes, or Illegal Biden votes, or a combo thereof, to yield 11,780 more votes for President Trump.), is perfectly legal...

Testimony this week in federal court by Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger reportedly contradicted claims that former President Donald Trump insisted he violate his oath of office by fabricating enough votes to win the state.
More at: www.breitbart.com...

The Washington Post made it sound like President Trump was asking Raffensperger to fabricate fake votes.

Raffensperger was a scumbag for not revealing Trump's innocence until "swearing to tell the truth" in court.

The Washington Post will catch HELL (or worse!) when Donald Trump is President again. 😡
