Last time I checked the US has a prison overpopulation problem. So when people sway towards more progressive ways to deal with crime, and it falls short, all of a sudden it's a sinister plot to overthrow America.

Instead of just simply seeing it as a failed experiment you drag people into a conspiracy theory involving George soros.

It is not a question of 'good' or 'evil'.

The problem with a person like Soros is that his massive wealth allows him to influence policy all over the world even though no people, anywhere, have voted in any fashion to indicate approval of such influence being exercised.

Yeah, I know there are financial contributors on both sides. It all stinks and is a disaster for democracy.

I think he's trying to change the US in drastic ways, and I don't like the direction. I KNOW he's doing the things I claimed because they are well documented and totally and completely factual. Undisputed kind of factual.

If I understood his motives or knew what his end game was, I may feel differently, but at the moment, I don't and can only go off of the facts I know.

The end game is almost what you see now, but the pendulum still needs to swing a little further to the left with at least 150 million swinging with it. He's been banned from several countries for doing to them exactly what he's working on with us.

I made a post above addressing this question and brought up a moral conundrum for you to pick apart.

The US has a problem with incarcerating too many people, during the time some of soros money flowed into democratic DAs and local elections was a time when people were looking for more progressive ideas to crime and punishment.
A failed experiment, for the most part, but at least something else was tried. Hell even Trump was rather progressive on criminal justice reform, I'm not sure why trying or funding new projects is a bad thing.

Don't listen to me, ask around. Find out how the cities that have these DA's are doing. Ask if the citizens are happy. Chicago, San Francisco, New York. Maybe I'm just too old and allowing kids and drug addicts to just do whatever they like is the way of the future.

But regardless of what I personally think about any of this, George Soros and his foundations are what funded this experiment. Even if you worry about his heritage. The truth and facts aren't up for debate.

As for the cities all crumbling down becuae of crack heads and petty thieves that started long before the "summer of love" the urban decay of America's major cities is a mich bigger topic beyond some funding from Soros foundation money. Again, at least they were trying something different beyond just shoving as many people into prison as possible.
