In crazy news you would never expect to happen, a January 6 insurrectionist went off on a tirade in court, spewing conspiracy theories, before he was sentenced to 11 years in prison. With Ashley Babbitt's mom in the courtroom, Alan Hostetter started speaking about a conspiracy theory that Ashley Babbitt wasn't even dead and that it was all a PSYOP. Ashley's mom was seen visibly upset and approached him after he was sentenced.

After Hostetter was sentenced, Witthoeft confronted him for spouting falsehoods about her daughter.

"I assure you she is dead,” Witthoeft said, according to Reilly. “What... is it you're trying to say?”

“Was she cremated?” Hostetter shot back in reply.

“You need help,” she retorted. “Arrogant #.”

I think this is mental illness. How else do you describe it at this point? And why didn't the attorneys claim mental incapacity? Based on his mental state they could have shaved some of those 11 years if they just showed the level of his instability. The man needs a shrink more than he needs prison.

Another one eh?

Of course she is dead, she was murdered and her murderer got off Scott free.

Mental illness is an epidemic in this country, on par or worse than rampant drug use.
It affects millions but mental illness is a lifestyle the Liberals live by happily.

NBC publishing sensational headlines about unstable conservatives and the threat they pose to our society? Say it ain't so. Does the article mention what he was convicted of?

Realize that staged events and crisis actors do exist, watch the footage that has long since been complied, and judge for yourself.

Of course she's dead. She was shot attempting to breach the main chamber. Another tragedy of the day, along with the police officers who died.

Why do you think this man would think she's alive? Is this crazy? Do you agree he needs therapy more than prison?

Who knows why he thinks that? I don’t know why and I personally don’t care why.

What was the charge that they railroaded him for 11 years on?

He was a retired police chief. Here's what he was convicted of:

Hostetter was convicted of conspiring to obstruct an official proceeding; obstruction of an official proceeding and aiding and abetting; entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds with a deadly or dangerous weapon; and disorderly or disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds with a deadly or dangerous weapon.

According to the evidence presented at trial, in the days following the 2020 presidential election, Hostetter, a retired police chief, coordinated with his co-conspirators to obstruct and interfere with the joint session of Congress at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, convened in order to certify the electoral college vote. Prior to the events of January 6th, Hostetter gave several speeches espousing his views on the 2020 presidential election and calling for the execution of his perceived political enemies. He pronounced to a crowd of supporters, “There must—absolutely must—be a reckoning. There must be justice. President Trump must be inaugurated on January 20th, and he must be allowed to finish this historic job of cleaning out the corruption in the cesspool known as Washington, D.C. The enemies and traitors of America, both foreign and domestic, must be held accountable. And they will. There must long prison terms, while execution is the just punishment for the ringleaders of this coup.”“Choke that city off, fill it with patriots, and then those people behind the walls of the Senate and the House are gonna be listening to us chanting outside those walls.” He added that he wanted members of Congress to know that “those five million people outside the walls are gonna drag us out by our hair and tie us to a f— lamp post.”

Here's the weapons he brought.

Should have been only trespassing charges.
Who did he kill? Who did he injure?

That's why he only got 11 years. Had he killed anyone, it would have been far longer.

"conspiring to obstruct an official proceeding; obstruction of an official proceeding and aiding and abetting; entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds with a deadly or dangerous weapon; and disorderly or disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds with a deadly or dangerous weapon" gets you 11 years in this court.

A bed chamber? So being unarmed, what warranted lethal force. I’m guessing someone left sensitive material/ classified material in place it wasn’t supposed to be? And that’s the coverup.

Really. Who was that individual, and the cause of death?

No, it gets someone with the wrong political positions 11 years.

For others, a fine or bailed out by the current vice president...

Yes.

So do I. We agree, from time to time.

I think there are many who were in that crowd who could use a softer touch as well. There are many whose mental state was abused and they were conned, and they should not be judged so harshly.

The leaders who thought it all up... different story.

So? The money that lead to “protesters” being bussed in that lead to buildings being sacked and torched. What should they be convicted of?
