In the beginning is before creation. Before anything. Before this dying Universe was created.

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. He wasnt talking to angels (sons of God, Aliens)

…29My Father who has given them to Me is greater than all. No one can snatch them out of My Father’s hand. 30I and the Father are one.” 31At this, the Jews again picked up stones to stone Him.

The Jews sure were!

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."-Genesis 1:1.

The beginning was when God began to create.

Jehovah God was talking to his firstborn and only-begotten son when he said they were going to make man in "our likeness" in "our image."

No offense taken. Jesus wasn't talking about being God. He was talking about being in harmony with God's will. He never took credit for anything he did, always giving the glory to his Father in heaven. And said he could not do a single thing of his own initiative, but he did as his Father sent him to do. And then he even reasoned with the Jewish religious leaders that their own scriptures, in the Psalms called their elders "gods" so how is it that they claimed he was a blasphemer for stating the truth that he was "God's son:"

"Jesus replied to them: “I displayed to you many fine works from the Father. For which of those works are you stoning me?” 33 The Jews answered him: “We are stoning you, not for a fine work, but for blasphemy; for you, although being a man, make yourself a god.” 34 Jesus answered them: “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I said: “You are gods”’? 35 If he called ‘gods’ those against whom the word of God came—and yet the scripture cannot be nullified— 36 do you say to me whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You blaspheme,’ because I said, ‘I am God’s Son’?"-John 10:32-36.

That Jesus wasn't saying he was God by saying he was one with God is quite obvious, he later prayed to his Father and God, and act of worship, that his followers be one with him just as he was one with God:

"Holy Father, watch over them on account of your own name, which you have given me, so that they may be one just as we are one."-John 17:11.

Of course not. Flesh and blood cannot enter into the heavens, either outer space or the spiritual realm where God resides and still live:

"But I tell you this, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit God’s Kingdom."-1 Corinthians 15:50.

So he was conferring with the mother at the time? You know, Mary? LOL Im sorry. I cant help it.

I had some JWs come to the door a couple weeks ago. I told them what our belief differences were to start with, but then told them about my family history, Ararat, Ottoman Empire, Israel , My dad smuggling bibles into USSR. Those guys were amazed! They had the best time talking to me. They were so excited by the time they left. I didnt focus on differences.
A week later my son saw them in the neighborhood. They told him they had been doing research on the things told them. They were still excited about God because of our conversation.

That sounds fun. I'm glad about that. And for you. I've said this before and I'll say it again. I enjoy reading your comments because they come from a spiritual person who respects and has faith in God. I sense you have good morals and are a good person. And you never come across as offensive. And I've always respected you as I try to do all people. And thanks for sharing that with me.

There are different plains of existence. The highest plane is the divine plane where Jehovah God resides. Below that plane is the spiritual plane where God created other spirits such as himself. Jehovah is a spirit. A spirit is a higher form of life than that of a being made of flesh and blood. Spirits are invisible:

"God is a Spirit."-John 4:24.

"Now to the King of eternity, incorruptible, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen."-1 Timothy 1:17.

When Jesus was created he was created on the spiritual plane of existence as a spirit son of God. When he emptied his heavenly body and came to earth he became human. When he died and was resurrected he was raised as a spirit. And when he returned to heaven he was raised to the divine plane of existence where Jehovah God resides. He was gifted immortality for his faithfulness unto death to Jehovah God. So Jesus partook of divine nature on his resurrection and return to heaven.

Jesus now resides as a powerful spirit in the image of his Father Jehovah God. And just as no human can look on the face of Jehovah God and live, no human could ever look on Jesus as he now dwells in unapproachable light which no man has seen or can see:

"He is the King of those who rule as kings and Lord of those who rule as lords, the one alone having immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see."-1 Timothy 6:15-16.

Revelation likens Jehovah God to the sun and his son Jesus Christ to the moon. Those who go to heaven to rule with Christ from earth will be with them forever so they will no longer need the sun nor the moon for light for God will always shine on them and they will no longer have darkness or nights:

"And the city has no need of the sun nor of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God illuminated it, and its lamp was the Lamb."-Revelation 21:23.

"And there will no longer be any curse. But the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his slaves will offer him sacred service; and they will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. Also, night will be no more, and they have no need of lamplight or sunlight, for Jehovah God will shed light upon them, and they will rule as kings forever and ever."-Revelation 22:3-5.

what I read is just a justificatipn for monarchy to be honest. That is the issue this thing was political and you can try to shrugg it off, but nobody really needs a J.C. spirit to further the evolution of the spirit towards immortality.
He was really just a golden cow, a detour that created a lot of confusion.
I mean sure tension is a catalyst for development to some extent but the gymnastics Christianity requires to get to the very simple statement: God is not the same as human,
seems more like a burden to me than in any way helpful.

I think I get you. And can appreciate your point-of-view, especially because of the poor tract record not only of religion, but also those who claimed to be Christian throughout the centuries since Christ came to earth. And I respect it. And thank you for taking the time to ask me the questions and give me your viewpoint on things.

There is one thread I authored earlier, as I have no more time tonight, that talks about why Jesus Christ will be a superior king than that of any human. I'll leave the link to that thread here:
