I know it is par for the course for those of a particular political persuasion to deny it, but once again FSB hackers are in the news:

Russia hacking: 'FSB in years-long cyber attacks on UK', says government

GCSB Minister Judith Collins condemns Russian cyber attacks

I have absolutely NO doubt Russia is hacking the UK...and the Us...along with China and Iran and every other country in the world, just as we do to them. To believe it's a one-sided game is just silly.

Perhaps we should be discussing who's the best at it and winning at this point?

The majority of the hackers who have the most destructive history are pimply faced kids.

These guys seem to be somewhat resilient against the CIA: Anonymous (hacker group)

And then there's this: The U.S. is getting hacked. So the Pentagon is overhauling its approach to cyber. which suggest that the US authorities aren't really that 733t.

Nope, they have, for some years, been strongly influenced through social media.

At this point in time, most Americans are made to feel both that their vote is worthless, and that their potential candidates are like the slick image/s presented to them.

Do you believe that your political system is government of the people, for the people, and by the people?

We have no real clue who is doing that.

For instance, the CIA's hackbox tool leaked 15 years ago allowed them to leave a fingerprint, as it where, of who invaded your digital space.

You would simply check an option in the tool... Chinese, Korean, Russian, or English.

Anon is resilient simply because the group is comprised of people from all over the globe that are not politically tied to their place of residence.

Yeah, but they do seem to be particularly politically aligned.

If I recall, they had a campaign against Trump for a while there.

Still they are made up of individuals, so probably there are some who disagree with whatever political opinion is happening at the moment.

To the uninformed, they do.

You and I move in different circles when it comes to this topic.

Have a good day!

I would bet that the USA is hacking Russians too, but unlike the USA, Russias infrastructure is not as vulnerable to hacking because not nearly as much technology is tied to the power plants there or other big businesses. They do not have so much computers connected online together that can be hacked. Here in the USA, and other countries much of our infrastructure is at risk of being hacked.

I'm a libertarian and think Trump is a corrupt moron.

But I'm gonna still disagree with you. Not on the fact there isn't hacking going on. You'd be a fool to think everyone isn't doing it. But you are certainly a fool if you think that Russia can manipulate our elections on Facebook better than our own political parties who have a direct access to ignorant Americans through the largest propaganda network since Germany circa 1940.

You clearly still don't get it. Trump is not a reflection of Republicans it's a reflection of just how bad democrats have become and their failure to speak to the common American.

So bad so that many Americans can relate to a reality show host more than most their elected officials. Yet you wanna continue with this Russia BS.

This is where liberal intellectually fails. Much like it's easier to train a smart dog it's much easier to manipulate a liberal.

Anons are politically aligned?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

This explains why clownsec was always saying weird stuff in IIRC, like
"All hail Ted Cruz. Honk Honk!"

and

"We as a movement, support Nancy Pelosi for president of the world."

In the USA when they say "Russians" are "hacking"
they really mean,

"Uh oh, americans are starting to not support us as much. Blame it on the Ruskies! Say there's a conspiracy!"

Did actual Russians hack the FSB?

Well, hell, The term "Russian Hackers" has lost all meaning at this point, so I can't be arsed.
It's like that time when I was 8 and I said "boob" 200 times in a row.
Straight outta boobs, and Fs to give, honestly.

It's beyond silly to pretend it wasn't happening just because it was not in the news for a while.
Hacking is a global business and part of the GDP of many countries

Indeed, there have been numerous continuous hacks, from numerous countries.

Most hacks originate from China or the US. Russian originating hacks only are about 50% of the number of US originating hacks.

I believe that China's predominant hacks have been against networking infrastructure and servers, whereas the US and Russian originating hacks have primarily targeted the Windows and Android client operating systems (*note, this is an opinion based purely on the experience of someone trying to defend against these hacks).

However as far as state sponsored hacks, Microsoft have estimated that Russia is the originator of 58% of state sponsored hacks in 2021.
