The left sure does have an obsession with guns and with trying to get around the 2nd Amendment. And a real fixation on the AR15. If they had their way, the law abiding population would be disarmed and then only the criminals would have guns.

Liberal activists are preparing to file a lawsuit against the board of one of the largest gun manufacturers in the United States, alleging that the company exposed shareholders to unnecessary liability by selling and promoting AR-15 rifles and thus violating their fiduciary duty.

In a draft of a lawsuit viewed by Fox News Digital expected to be filed this week, liberal activist shareholder plantiffs alleged that the board of Smith & Wesson "knowingly allowed the Company to become exposed to significant liability for intentionally violating federal, state, and local laws through its manufacturing, marketing, and sales of AR-15 style rifles and similar semiautomatic firearms."

The draft explains that the company’s board has expressed "unwillingness to exercise any oversight whatsoever" when it comes to manufacturing and marketing AR-15s, which the shareholders say has exposed the company to unnecessary liability.

The lawsuit is the latest in a series of moves made by liberal activists across the country using the legal system to go after gun manufacturers as a part of a larger movement known as environmental, social, and governance (ESG), which puts pressure on investors to be more "socially conscious."

I'm pretty out of the loop here.

I've never seen an AR15 manufactured by Smith and Wesson. Just traditional rifles. Am I missing something?

M&P15 is pretty much an ar15. I think it was originally made to sell to police forces around the country.

Don't Smith and Wesson make a AR15 type weapon? I thought so.

M&P15 is pretty much an ar15. It's a nice good quality sporting rifle with a cost to fit just about anyone budget. I highly recommend if you are a sports shooter.

Yes Smith&Wesson have a large line of AR15 rifles the M&P line .

This is the same they are doing to the oil industry in California to bankrupt them and look how well they has been on doing the same thing to Trump to bankrupt him with legal expenses.

Also now the democrats are going to bankrupt the nation with the millions of illegals.

These 'lefties' want everyone equally poor and miserable, with no hope for a better future (like under capitalism). They are just lazy , entitled brats who want everything handed to them by others while they do nothing.
They are so deluded, reality will smack them unconscious , once they too late realize that under Marxism they don't get to sit around and do nothing, they have to work, in fact they would have to work a job that the government tells them to do and accept at a pay rate the goverment tells them to accept. No voice, no choices, no future, no nothing!

Sounds like it was done purposefully to orchestrate a legal matter down the road - a case of the Left rotting things from the inside out. We should take a look at these "shareholders" and see just when they bought into the company..... I bet the suit would be withdrawn or dismissed immediately thereafter.

This tracks well with their fixation with supplying the Ukraine. Sure let's cut our production capability! We will never need guns in the future. Easier to retool than build a whole new assembly.
