What's wrong with annexing adjoining territory if the people support it, and it serves a nation purpose? That's the way of the world. Israel "annexed" it in 1967. They wanted it for themselves.

But is it really sovereign? Was it ever?

From 1948 to 1967 it was "occupied" by Jordan, was it not? Didn't Jordan "annex" it first?

Call it cold, but I think Israel has right to claim West Bank/East Jerusalem and annex it to the same degree Venezuela has right to annex and take half of Guyana for oil resources they are in better position to exploit.

Google is not going to answer why people supposedly worried about the “collective punishment of Gaza” are not outraged by a decision by Hamas to end the ceasefire that allowed aid to come into Gaza.
