Damn. That’s good. Might as well be a Kleenex Ad.

Happy Holidays indeed to you and yours ATS.

Thanks 727Sky.

No, I refuse.

Madison Avenue advertising agencies have spent millions, likely billions over the years manipulating the public and bending them to their will. They have spent indescribable amounts in huge salaries to some of the most creative minds to come out of universities, people who have studied the latest in psychological warfare, an all to the benefit or the corporate structure.

I especially hate those commercials that seek to pluck our heartstrings. With that logo up in the corner of the video link, I know it is for a major corporation.

I refuse to cry at the behest of corporate America.

I refuse.

I wholeheartedly agree.

Yeah, screw General Motors for using sappy emotions to sell a product. Doesn't make me one bit more likely to buy a Chevy.

But ... DAMMIT!

Had I closed my eyes the song would have had the same effect. Many moments are brought back to me listening to John Denver songs. Many with my 88 year old dad. He's a fan of Take me home, country roads.

Seasons greetings to everyone.

It was a good commercial.

I knew people who had alzheimer disease. I took care of the wife's aunt for a few months. When she went outside, she did lots better than when she was in the house. I think it was the fresh air which had more oxygen in it that helped. When she got back, she also seemed to eat better because of the exercise I suppose. She still was delusional, thinking she was young, but at least she could comprehend things a little better than when she was stuck in the house. The reason we had to give up taking care of her was that she always wanted to go somewhere, and like a teenager, if I said no, she tried to escape and said she was going to walk to her friends home to visit, she would have her jacket on and was heading out the door.

Thank you for posting..... yep.... wet, moist eyes here.
To hell with the fact it's an advert for some corporation, it's the message that counts.
Both my mother and my maternal grandmother died of alzheimer's... I refuse to be the 'next in line'. But rickymouse got me thinking about 'sundowners', both my mother and grandmother went through that stage. Got me thinking that when they kicked up a fuss rattling doors, saying they wanted to 'go home' and such..... that they just wanted to get outside.
Thank you.

So, was Bill the long lost guy Grandma cheated on Grandpa with? Is this just more encouragement by the PTB to separate and cause division in families, or am I just confused?
