I'm sure many Israeli families and Palestinian families are THANKFUL for seeing about 200 hostages freed. Although, it looks like Israel is releasing 3 times more hostages than Hamas is releasing...

In an unprecedented vote early Wednesday morning, Israel’s cabinet approved an agreement to secure the release of roughly 50 hostages who were abducted into Gaza during the October 7 terror onslaught.

Not all details of the agreement have been formally released to the public, but an Israeli government official briefing reporters on Tuesday said the deal is expected to see the release of 50 living Israeli citizens, mostly women and children, in groups of 12-13 people per day.

In exchange, Israel has agreed to a ceasefire for at least four days for the first time since the outbreak of the war.

Israel also agreed to release Palestinian women and minors from prison and let them return to their homes, mostly in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. Israel has avoided offering a specific number, but Hebrew media has placed the figure at 150. A Palestinian Authority minister told Al Arabiya on Tuesday that 350 jailed Palestinian minors and 82 jailed Palestinian women would be freed in the swap.

For every dead hostage Israel gets, they should return a dead palestinian.

After Israel is satisfied that HAMAS has released all the hostages the terrorist group is willing to release, Israel's armed forces will continue doing what's necessary to totally eliminate HAMAS from Gaza.

I'm totally miffed over how these leaders play "war games" in a way that cost so many innocent lives!

Biden and Netanyahu lost citizens on October 7th, because the men shown in this article -www.dailymail.co.uk... recruited, financed, trained, and assigned their terrorists to murder at will, inside of Israel.

Instead of getting rid of the Men who are behind the terrorist attack(s), Netanyahu and Biden go after the pee-on terrorists , killing over 10,000 innocent men/women/children in the process!

Israel has many thousands of Palestine's detained under a arbitrary detention program. Lot of kids have been detained without trial for 2-3 years for things like throwing a stone or protesting.

Since Oct 7th, there has been a lot more international attention put on just what is going on between Israel and Palestine. A lot of these problems have been going on for a long time and just getting worst with the culture of hate growing.

Prisoners. Apparently they committed some kind of crime.

This is a good faith move, women and minors. Israel should do it to gain back support from the world.

They aren't hostages. They are accused of committing crimes. They are prisoners/inmates/detainees, but are in the Israeli justice system for some reason of another.

We have women and minors in prison in the US. Many held for along time before trial.

I guess we aren't so innocent either. Hope some terrorist group doesn't attack us.

Israel does not have hostages.

Where the heck did Hamas hide 200 hostages? With the amount of bombs Israel dropped the past 6 weeks, I'm surprised any hostages survived. Asking for a friend

Its been public knowlege for at least a decade - I have a couple of books on the subject from 2007/8 - most are held with no trial and no evidence of wrongdoing.

There's around 200 young/teenage boys, 75 woman, 5 girls - there's another 700 who are believed to be detained in Israel but Israel wont let families or authorities know if they are bein held in Israeli prisons.

74% of children being held have been subject to abuse including torture and just over 40% have been placed in solitary confinement.

The more recent arrests have been in the West Bank where Israeli settlers have attacked Palestinians so the Palestinians get arrested for terrorism.

At least another 2000 - 7000 Palestinians are being held in arbitrary administrative detention as political prisoners where they're held indefinately with no trial, charges, release date etc..

Israeli's also face similar draconian imprisonment and around 120 have been arrested/detained for their social media posts simply for posting solidariy with Palestinians (not Hamas) or quoting sections of the Quran.


There were massive protests in Israel all through 2023 against the totalitarian ''judicial reform' where Israelis were against Palestinians losing even more rights, against Israeli settlers and the draconian laws that attack democratic processes and courts. The government is very unpopular due to this move which has seen the biggest protests and strikes in Israels' history.

...and, it's been public knowledge. Not hidden. This is not some scandal, you are merely uninformed if these things are new to you. The intolerable situation they live under has forced unpleasant solutions. The explanations are complex and the backstories just as much so. The farcical "International Community" cannot solve it because they often would do the same or worse in their own back yards.
