CHICAGO (CBS) – Migrants in Chicago who move into city-run shelters have 60 days to leave.

Volunteers on the frontlines are worried about the more than 2,000 migrants who were waiting at police stations and airports. They said the city's new shelter stay policy forcing new arrivals to leave after 60 days only sets up families for failure.

Buah Bye, don’t let the door hit you where the good lord split ya.

But seriously I have no beef with the migrants, 100% and I mean 100% of the ones that I have heard that were interviewed appeared to be tricked into coming here for WORK. All of them talk about getting paperwork to work. So obviously somebody/some group has spread that message.
They don’t want free stuff like many make out, they want to make a living.

Either way these cities are a massive JOKE. We all knew that though. They are all talk until they actually got a taste of what it’s like to have some migrants. Was it their angry residents, was it the costs, was it the lack of real leadership, or all of it.
Doesn’t matter but they sure are left with egg on their face.

I’m going to a sanctuary city soon and will report back!

There’s a mandate somewhere for what has occurred under Biden concerning this invasion, er um, influx.

I agree with your statement but between Ukraine, Israel, and all the other foreign welfare, I don’t see the problems stateside getting better let alone addressed as we continue to allow thousands in daily.

With no vetting, from the world over.

We can’t be the world’s arms dealer, police, and soup kitchen when millions are under duress at home.

In the words of Oliver Anthony “I wish it weren’t so.”.

But it is.

Just read the other day the housing crisis in the US is now being tackled by expanding parking lots for people living in their cars because it’s “affordable housing”.

What a joke. A sick one at that.

Hug your loved ones this Thanksgiving. Love you ATS.

Just watched a video about this guy that decided to take a trail up from Columbia through Panama that people down there take to get to the United States. It's actually quite terrible and sad. I don't advocate for or against any of this because each family and person has their own circumstances that we are not in.

Even in the Bible many God fearing people had to flee for their lives and flee their homelands. Joseph and Mary had to flee with their infant son Jesus to Egypt. Moses had to flee Egypt into the wilderness. Lot had to flee the city of Sodom. The first century Christians had to flee Jerusalem after the siege of 66 C. E. Jesus had to flee from cities he preached in to avoid being stoned to death or thrown off cliffs to his death. The apostle Paul had to flee several times from different cities when he was hounded and the people were trying to murder him. David had to flee into the wilderness and dwell in the caves away from king Saul when he was hunting him to put him to death. After Isaac died, Rebekah told Jacob to flee because Esau (his twin brother) wanted to put him to death. This isn't an exhaustive list.

We all probably know someone or of someone personally that had to flee a situation or a place because of personal safety. I could write a post that goes on for 3 pages here with accounts of people having to flee in our modern times for one reason or another. I can give one example. I know of a family that had a farm where the drug cartels wanted to set up and they asked the family to sell it to them (here in Mexico) and they would not sell it. Well the mother and children found the dad murdered with his hands and legs and head chopped off and all the body parts inside a pig they owned on the farm. They got the message and fled for their lives and asked for refuge statues in the United States. I really could do this all day. Never would I want to judge people who are fleeing from one place to another. Rather show them human kindness and help them as best as possible.

ETA:

Oh here is the video BTW:

Maybe it was their behaviour, just a thought.

So WHO is really behind the plan to keep Migrants in poverty?

And, what are their gains?

Democrats like slaves, they like to keep minorities poor soo the can politized later on and blame it on "racism".

Meanwhile they live in luxury and in gated communities where they do not have to deal with the filth poverty causes to cities all across America, they just call it "racism".

But rest assure that when time for elections comes they want to grand the voting rights to all those illegals in the nation, because if you complain is you know "racism".

What if providing a little aid to help them get through their catastrophe was worlds cheaper than taking on the responsibility of caring for them and their descendants for ever?

The reason they want to revise parking requirements in building codes is exactly the opposite.

They want to reduce code requirements for parking spaces because it is adding too much expense to housing even in areas where many of the residents will use mass transit or bicycles.

So after all this, exactly how were they intending to make the immigrants legal and move on to a socially productive and cohesive society?

Don't tell me that they didn't expect so many to cross the border. The last three years, the holding 'pens' have been overflowing, the cities have been overflowing and the news has covered a lot regarding the mass migration into the US, following and interviewing; drone footage along the trek and the border; reporting of the influx of immigrants by the Sanctuary cities themselves of the the thousands upon thousands of people making the trek through our open borders.

Seems to me there was no plan really. Evidenced by the lack of all rules and regulations. What exactly did the sanctuary cities think was going to happen? Endless food and shelter for the immigrants by the immigration gods while life went on it's merry way? Oh silly me. That WAS the plan.

How long does it take and how much money to recover from efforts to destroy our country like is being done today? It would be silly to wish for things like "how they used to be" but seriously. A hundred years? Two hundred?

How long did it take Rome to recover?

Many historians believe Rome's downfall led to the 'dark ages' that followed, and a decline in education, literacy, economics and law that would take centuries to recover from. It wasn't until the Renaissance in the 14th century that the wonders of Roman culture began to re-emerge

No, we're not Rome and I'm not here to debate the historical specifics. But it's interesting to see some of the parallels taking place centuries later that we can absolutely relate to.
