The ground operation must continue, with close air strikes called in for as needed basis, not to just level entire residential housings to make it easier to pass through. I mean if the regular folks have been evacuated, then fine. But if that building is full of families, act like a fighter and not a coward and put your life on the line to destroy the enemy.

It's only a few accounts by the way who try to support unequivocally the actions of Israel. The rest are much more down to Earth and most people are supporting a ceasefire and peace without taking sides in the conflict. You may have seen my threads where I give a very good summary of the war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by Israel. There is no end as it seems and regardless of the propaganda by the MSM the majority of people are against what is happening.

The usual false equivalency argument is that criticisms of the State of Israel and their actions in Gaza are now renamed as anti-semitism, Hamas and terror support, and the rest... These are all bogus and debunked arguments that are just exposing the position of those who are making them.

The song seems to be a reflection of how the society in Israel has become detached from reality, highly conservative, and governed by a group of ultra right wing fascistoids both in the Government and the Army. A real tragedy for the people of Israel as it will lead them to disaster if this situation continues.

We see one event without really understanding any context to it, or what level it is pushed to. There are a wide range of people in the world including Israel that love Hamas all the way to the other extreme of wanting to see every Palestine dead. The vast majority are right in the middle of getting rid of Hamas and not targeting civilians, but people like to pull things from the fringes to make their points.

I love how Westerners want to force our values and morals onto them. No one in the West sees any of it as OK. You need to try and understand what life is like throughout the ME in general. I said over in the ME. In the last 20 or so years alone millions of Muslims have died to other Muslims, so it isn't just a case of we hate the Jews or evil America. It's we hate anyone including other Muslims who are not aligned with us, and even in that case, it is still iffy when projecting their power moves within their own groups. These groups already existed long before Israel did anything. Hamas came from the Islamic Brotherhood out of Egypt as a more radical side of them. If Israel saw them as a counterweight that all ended by 1987 when they openly were against Israel.

Isn't it just deplorable! The children need to be children and not be used as such...

Which I guess doesn't include staying in their childhood homes, because those were too close to Gaza, and they had to be evacuated, after they survived the initial attack.

I've watched a choir of evangelical children at a megachurch sing "Onward Christian Soldier" and get a standing ovation.
