This word is thrown out like candy.

Talk to one group and Hamas went in and slaughtered 1400 innocent civilians with genocidal intent. Reverse it and the Israeli response is genocide.

Since, "Terrorist attack" and "Military retaliation to neutralize terror threat" aren't gonna fly, I've decided to give in to the genocide mantra. Sure, it can be genocide. Don't even need a genocidal charter to qualify, it seems.

On that, I officially support this "Palestinian genocide", because I'm tiring of arguing against the parrots.

But first a little reading...

21st Century Genocides:

Sri Lanka:

The International Commission of Jurists stated that the camps used to intern nearly 300,000 Tamils after the war's end may have breached the convention against genocide.

Chechnya:

Numerous war crimes were committed during both conflicts.[46] Amnesty International estimated that in the First Chechen War alone, between 20,000 and 30,000 Chechens were killed, mostly in indiscriminate attacks which were launched against them by Russian forces in densely populated areas,[47] and that a further 25,000 civilians died in the Second Chechen War

Nigeria:

Since the turn of the 21st century, 62,000 Nigerian Christians have been killed by the terrorist group Boko Haram, Fulani herdsmen and other groups. The killings have been referred to as a silent genocide

Congo

During the Congo Civil War (1998–2003), pygmies were hunted down and eaten by both sides in the conflict, who regarded them as subhuman.

Darfur

The Darfur genocide is the systematic killing of ethnic Darfuri people which has occurred during the ongoing conflict in Western Sudan. It has become known as the first genocide of the 21st century.[63] The genocide, which is being committed against the Fur, Masalit and Zaghawa tribes, has led the International Criminal Court (ICC) to indict several people for crimes against humanity, rape, forced transfer and torture.[64] Over 2.8 million civilians have been displaced and the death toll is estimated to number 300,000.

China

China currently holds the title for the most Systemic Nazi-like genocide.

In July 2020, German anthropologist Adrian Zenz wrote in Foreign Policy that his estimate had increased since November 2019, estimating that a total of 1.8 million Uyghurs and other Muslim minorities had been extrajudicially detained in what he described as "the largest incarceration of an ethnoreligious minority since the Holocaust"

Myanmar (Burma)

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) estimated in December 2017 that during the persecution, the military and the local Buddhists killed at least 10,000 Rohingya people. At least 392 Rohingya villages in Rakhine state were reported as burned down and destroyed, as well as the looting of many Rohingya houses, and widespread gang rapes and other forms of sexual violence against the Rohingya Muslim women and girls. The military drive also displaced a large number of Rohingya people and made them refugees. According to the United Nations reports, as of September 2018, over 700,000 Rohingya people had fled or had been driven out of Rakhine state who then took shelter in the neighboring Bangladesh as refugees. In December 2017, two Reuters journalists who had been covering the Inn Din massacre event were arrested and imprisoned.

ISIS

By 2014, a U.N. Humans Rights commission counted that 9,347 civilians had been murdered by ISIL in Iraq, then however; by 2016 a second report by the United Nations estimated 18,802 deaths. The Sinjar massacre in 2014 resulted in the killings of between 2,000 and 5,000 civilians.

Yemen

By December 2015, 2.5 million Yemeni people were internally displaced by the fighting,[186] and 1 million more fled the country.

Ethiopia

As of late 2022, the combined impact of wartime violence, famine and a lack of medical access had killed an estimated 385,000-600,000 people, with other reported estimates reaching numbers as high as 700,000-800,000 killed.

Syria Civil War*

As of December 2022, a minimum of 580,000 people are estimated to be dead; with 13 million Syrians being displaced and 6.7 million refugees forced to flee Syria.

Israel-Palestine

Have at it.

I look at the world and wonder why The Tamils were never an issue, or the Uyghurs... 25 times more victims in some of these genocides, yet, I had to look up some of these to know about them..

Not this though, It's shoved in my face like it's so much more atrocious than anything else that happens on this planet. And proclaimed the WORST since the nazis. Not Hamas, Israel for defending themselves.

Perpetual short end of a stick, they have.

That said, I do have a rhetorical question for all this.

Why doesn't Israeli anger get the same pass American anger did? This is 9/11 with children and hostages. It's a way more perverse attack. Why don't Israelis get to be as angry as Americans after our sucker punch attack?

And why isn't our retaliation in Afghanistan and Iraq listed alongside all the other Genocides? If Gaza is, so is everything we did after 9/11.

On September 12th, 2001 I was pretty genocidal. I wanted to see Mecca carpet bombed. I said, "Put (Saudi Arabians) all on planes and crash them into the mosque in Mecca."

This is like if ALL the 9/11 hijackers were from the same city, and the USA got two move in 2 weeks after the attacks and avenge them. Would we have had much restraint? Do they get pass for raw emotion? Ever?

I was genocidal enough to support invading anywhere Bush listed on his "axis of evil", and not care about the casualties. Syria and Iran... still as true today.

Hamas is an extension of that same axis of evil in my mind.

Hope you like this genocide. Apparently, Israel has a really really low qualification limit for this charge.

One airstrike is war crime.
One carpet bombing is a genocide.

Cool with that.

We're all genocidal.

What's most notable to me is the general reluctance to specifically condemn the October 7th attacks by anyone other than Israelis. The response always seems to be a general condemnation of all violent attacks (which is a cop out in my opinion) or the; Israel previous to Oct 7th did xyz etc.

Lets say we change the term genocide to tyranny

This IS the NWO that "most" people "say" they are against
Praise the tyrants, kneel before your masters.
Don't forget to eat your bugs

All those genocides you listed except maybe the Sri Lankan one have one one common factor-muslims.
Now you either believe they are eternal victims or you believe they are a cancer that reaps what it sows.
I'm going with the later.

I'm just sick of these words being thrown around for propaganda purposes. So I counter with my own...

It is forever a "heinous terrorist slaughter of Israeli ciivilians" responded to by a "total military offensive to strangle the enemy out of existence"

Not The IDF's fault Hamas fights like punks.

Damn. You mean all those buildings have been flattened by bottles of water? Who knew they were so dangerous? Over 10,000 dead now and you post that?

Oh and incidentally, what Hamas did was an utter outrage and an unspeakable atrocity. ALL atrocities need to stop. They don’t make things better.

I am for the complete death of every terrorist cell, organization, group, coffee club on the planet.

I have no problem saying that I want the genocide of anyone who does or supports the actions of the palestinians Oct 7th.

And in global terms, anyone who does that in different countries?

I hope they go room temp quickly as well.

Seriously. And since we are using words liberally nowadays, I'm calling for the following countries to be reclassified as terrorist states:

Palestine is a terrorist state.
Lebanon is a terrorist state.
Syria is a terrorist state.
Yemen.
Iraq.
Iran.

Seems like some regime changes are in order.

I'd only add Iran and China.

But that's just me.

I added Iran late.

China definitely.

Maybe even South Africa, India, Russia, and Brazil.

Yeah, I know, right?

Being against terrorist groups anywhere is, like, totally a negative vibe.

Terrorists have baby kittens too.

Note the difference between a terrorist state and group!

Your living in a terrorist state right now under the Biden regime you people voted for, because you live in a certain place or happened to be born there, that automatically makes you ONE OF THEM!

Pretty much.

I figure since you can just use words like "occupation", "ethnic cleansing", and "genocide" when it fits your narrative, I don't need integrity with my rhetoric anymore.

I can categorically deem any State with a terrorist group political influence like Hamas, Hezbollah, and Islamic Jihad, terrorist states by association, just because it confirms my bias.

Toss Qatar and Iran on that list.

Where did I say words like "occupation" and "ethnic cleansing"

Can you actually quote me or do you prefer to just make things up?

Not you specifically, but in the context of "I figure if (a person) can use words like..."

Sorry, not you as in you. But if others want to toss out "genocide" and "war crime," I'll counter with "terrorist state".

And the louder the condemnation gets, the less I care about the human shields they reinforce their rocket storage depot/orphanages with. Long live the freaking IDF at this point.
