Anybody remember .....

Henry Lee Summer ?

Back in the late 80s I listened to him a lot and liked his music. Sadly, like many musicians he fell into drugs and lost his way. I've seen that he still tours and one of these days I'm gonna go see him. Hearing his music brings back some bittersweet memories. His biggest hit was "Wish I Had A Girl" [like that]

Wow that was a flashback, I think remember that song being played on the radio every couple of hours.

Hell of a mullet too, I think the one I had back then was better though.
I had hair almost down to my ass back then.

I was off the rails till late 87 then got married but at that time I was listening to anything and everything but preferred classic rock Zeppelin, the Doors, KIng Crimson, Rush, Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top Motley Crue Bon Jovi Guns and Roses among hundreds of others but that was when hair bands were on the way out, and grunge has yet to pop up. A weird in-between time between genres.OTATAOMH This guy has a little bit of Greg Kihn, Bryan Adams-type vibe, but damn I don't remember him at all, and it's weird cause my girl and I really liked "Im no Angel" by Greg Allman and this feels like the same genre.

I remember. I used to confuse him with someone else, either Bryan Adams or JCM and my BFF at the time would yell at me. I started doing it just to get her riled up.


@ Razor, Too bad if there aren't any pictures! Love a nice mullet. Have a friend that is about 27, that has a beautiful one that he mostly wears tucked up in his hat.
Some people can just pull it off.
Others not so much.
