Wow, JJ, thanks! It looks like it was a lovely day!
That's a wicked dealership... excellent selection.
Right, I'm not 100% on the upstairs car. Many of the new models are very similar in profile. If I have to have a guess, I say it's another 488, maybe
the berlinetta version of the one in your first photo..., so the 488 GTB.
OMG... That's a 812 Superfast, front engined V12. My love for this one is because it's a spinoff of the 365 GTB/4 or Daytona, one of my love
affairs.
The Daytona also came in a spider (open top) variant that featured in Miami Vice, even if it was a replica, because it was destroyed in front of
Crockett's eyes.
Also, it was in The Gumball Rally (1976) movie... and that one was real.
Here it is having some fun with a Cobra.
Cheers again, JJ, for taking these excellent photos!

I remember the Spitfire well, Waterglass. Back in the 80s, when I lived in North London, my neighbour had a classic British racing green one...
unfortunately, he was always under the hood fixing something... or making more broke that which was already dead on arrival. I'm not sure of their
resale value nowadays... it would have to be in concours condition to be worth buying.
As for James Bond, I'm pretty sure he never drove a Ferrari; M and Q always gave Bond a new Aston Martin, and once a Lotus Esprit that went
underwater.

Yes always under the hood amd yes on Bond a Maartin. I just mentined it as many of those types were in his movies in either driven by villians or hot
women.
Absolutely, especially the older movies had some really iconic cars!
I think the Triumph TR7 was more reliable, but the lines of the Spitfire were more reminiscent of older Jaguars. It was the poor man's mini super
car.
There also was a mini wannabee Ferrari in the shape of the Fiat X19 (1972-1989), a tiny two-seater with a mid-engine configuration... not fast, but
out of the ordinary for the time.
The large bumpers destroyed the lines of the original car that hardly had any...
Many were widened and tuned for racing, making them look more like the Lancia Stratos.
Well, going back to the OP topic, sorry Cavemannick, for derailing your thread a bit... The GTO sold for $51,705,000 USD. I think it was 47 million +
auction fees. I'll never understand these high prices, just like certain sports commanding ridiculous money.
I can only dream and wait for JJ's next trip to the dealership... in the meantime, I'll stick with my scale models.
