Some mistreated Migrants are reportedly actually returning to their own countries that they fled!

Chicago is politically and governmentally disorganized for Migrants.

They've been camped out at police stations and airports with "assistance" being botched.

Migrants are essentially being corralled in poverty.

Citizens have been screaming and deeply against any planned help from the City Government.

The Mayor has been a dismal example of help. lol lol lol

Chicago has become so unpleasant that migrants are fleeing back to Venezuela after being dumped in shelters and refused better paying jobs.

Since August last year, 20,700 migrants have arrived in Chicago from Texas. The Lone Star State's Governor Greg Abbott sent migrants to Chicago and other Democrat-run cities because of their proud status as 'sanctuary cities.' They offer enhanced protection against detention or deportation for undocumented migrants.

Now, Illinois' harsh winters, lack of migrant infrastructure, and ambivalent support from locals has made many people, who undertook the harsh US-Mexico border journey, actually turn around and go back home.

Venezuela-born Michael Castejon, 39, and his family have been sleeping on the floors of police stations and shelters after he could not afford to pay rent in Chicago - because his work permit was taking so long to arrive.

It's so sad that they fell for the lies that brought them up here. Had they come here legally, they could have jobs that pay well and a good life. The trick is they have to come here legally. I honestly feel for them.

My family were immigrants, they came here for a better life, but came to the US legally. They immediately found jobs because they searched for them. Most of these people that are coming in are just looking for a free handout. They want the "American Dream", but don't want to earn it, they want it to be freely given to them because that's their dream. I have neighbors from Venezuela and other places, that live in a nice house but they don't work, they have great cars, but they are still getting money from the Government. Why? because they can, and our dumbass government gives it to them with no strings attached. How do I even know this? Because they told me. They actually brag about it like it's something positive, meanwhile my Wife and I have to keep working to keep surviving. I don't have a problem with working hard to achieve my American dream, but this thing with the illegal immigrant trespassers is just not right.

You think they would of learned after the mass Exodus(not deportation) of Mexican immigrants back to Mexico. Where illegal Mexicans actually crossed the border in the other direction.

Any idiot that would leave their country for free handouts that is 250% below poverty to live in the lies of politics deserve what they get. Cause just like the American born people here when they are done with you, you will be out on the trash like the rest of us. They used the pity to line their pockets, harvest some ballots and tossed em in the trash.

The climate alone in the US isn't great to begin with, it's harsh survival and winter is going to make most of these people turn tail and run. And when your one of millions you ain't gonna get special treatment walking pass that line for very long. Chances are all those immigrants were forced to cast a voting ballot as an entry point.

Good for those wising up and going home, realizing they were being used... Hope they warn their neighbors not to come, cause it will cost them more to come here then just financial loss and serious health risk.

I think you're missing the most important reason for them going back. It's called WINTER. the very vast majority of immigrants are from very warmer countries than the US, especially the Northern US. They want a warm comfortable looked after life and winter has no mercy.

A lot of Syrians fled due to Islamic radicals openly announcing their intentions to torture, rape and murder their entire families in a time when the army was being pushed back on multiple fronts. Actions perpetrated by the Islamic State and so-called "Free Syrian Army" in those years showed plainly that this was not merely bluster.

When the radicals were vanquished by the Government and their allies many went home because they were no longer in danger.

Actual refugees. Not merely opportunists using the label for handouts. Imagine that.

The thing is they did come legally... the Biden admin pledged to allow Venezuelans to seek asylum in the US.

I wonder how many of them were shoved onto a bus and shipped up there tho instead of being processed properly and scattered around to assimilate quicker.

If they were truly refugees instead of opportunists, as you say, then why would they go all the way to Europe?
Certainly there’s a country much much closer to where they came from to take refuge in until the bad people are gone?

Not when the surrounding countries were actively hostile to the Syrian government and the Shia people in general.

Some did go to safer parts of Iraq or Iran.

The situation for Kurds and Christians was even worse.

Because Islamic nations aren't the most welcoming places to outsiders. Just look at Palestinians, in fact a lot of Arab / Islamic nations won't even allow Palestinian people to immigrate or become citizens at all.
