Once again, my ultimate point in all of this is that by pursuing measures that the majority of the population has already expressed they don't support, the GOP are only hurting themselves.
Do you disagree with that sentiment?

Yes, Some Republicans in some parts of the country are hurting their political aspirations by standing up for their convictions.

Convictions = God belief
Which has no business in a secular government.

No.
I have many convictions and I am an atheist.
The definition of "conviction" is a firmly held belief or opinion.
Some people come to their convictions through belief in a higher being, some do not.
And in a democracy all people are allowed (and should) to use their convictions to form their political opinions. We do not dehumanize people because they are religious and we do not prevent them from furthering their political opinions because they are formed in part through religious beliefs.

You would have to define "Republican Right wing's religious dominance" in this context. I really have no idea what you are trying to convey with the statement.

What’s obvious is obvious.

I mean, let's be honest with ourselves....
Ever since Roe, even somewhat before then, the Republicans have been backing the most archaic, nonsensical, out of touch BS that anyone can possibly imagine.
This is surprising to absolutely nobody.

I think politicians are elected to represent their constituents. I would say that a politician that chooses to legislate their own beliefs over the clear will of their constituents is failing at their job.
