Wait until AI replaces a lot of jobs.
911 operators like the one you listed will be on the replacement list.
Women will be hit the hardest when AI gets effective but that's probably not going to happen soon though.
Changes are coming to the economy. The pendulum will be swinging back soon and it will be ugly. Housing will drop substantially and automakers will fall.

Haha!
Well I don't think it will be quite like that. Let's hope.
We are going to see something close to Siri where it will here key words and act accordingly.
The processing power needed was just a dream a couple years ago but not anymore..

Wonder why “nobody wants to work”?
Let’s take fast food out of the equation, because that seems to bring some interesting opinions.
Just hop onto Indeed and pull up any job that you think a normal adult might have.
I just looked at one, it’s for a 911 operator. We can all agree this is an adults job and not for teens. It is not a temp job,
It is a job/career.
The pay is around 23 an hour full time, sounds like a decent pay.
That would give you a take home pay of about 2800 (month)
Average Rent in the US is 1700, that leaves you with 1100.
If you have a very low end car payment, that will be anywhere from 2-300 dollars.
Let’s say 250, that leaves you 850 For the entire month.
That 850 will need to pay for food, gas, electricity, water, garbage, internet, cell phone, clothes, etc.
Can it be done. Yes, but the problem will arise when the car needs a major repair. When sickness arises. You know, normal living stuff.
So those numbers above, are the average. Of course there can be some adjustments. The person could live with their parents (or roommates) if that is available to them. That would save on housing costs. How many adults want to live with their parents though? (Remember this isn’t a starter job)
The numbers could look different if the person has any debt, credit card, student loans etc.
Being married would possible bring in double the income, but if they have a child or children, that might negate any savings.
Either way, it’s a razors edge when you look at it from a financial perspective. The salary isn’t the problem in itself, I would have killed for that salary back in the 90’s. The problem is the cost of living, especially housing costs. Something has to give.
This is what the young people are raging about. The American dream is almost dead. Take those numbers and it makes it almost
Impossible to pay your rent, let alone save for a house.

I lived in a trailer park once for a while. It was actually a pleasant stay. The only uncomfortable bit was one night when the wind really picked up.

I so want to buy a cottage on a big lot with a garage. I live in an 1800 sq ft home that is way too big for me to keep up and the yard work.
But there isn't much available that isnt a piece of crap trailer on a piece of dirt.
Nothing newer than 70s?
I hate McMansions.

This actually goes back much further than recent years. I recall reading commentary by Louis L'Amour about how, when he was young, there was always (physical) work that men could do, even around small communities. His point was that as our society deployed machines to replace physical laborers, our "leadership" did nothing for those who got squeezed out by mechanical devices.
What we see today is an exponential version of that, but I suspect the crescendo has not yet been reached.
Cheers

I’ve also noticed something else, some people are taking matters into their own hands and buying land and creating tiny home villages.
