Who is "they" that you fear and what is wrong with just starting a new account if you fear?

“They”would be Ghost who was the one who had a hand in pressing the rest button and now we have to go to Ghost to get our old accounts back.

“They” on a more nefarious note, are agencies using 5th Generation Warfare or 6th gen, now seeing what ghost can do.

Whether this “reset was intentional or just a weird series of events, it still serves as a great case study for a social reset.

As far as fear,
I don’t mind loosing my old account. I still might even jump through the hoops to get my old one back. I know many here have invested a ton of time in there accounts.

I’m not knocking anyone for going through the process to get their account back. After all, on the surface this is just a fun conspiracy forum.

I’m a late adapter, just making my observations before I choose a path.

Okay .... I went to a site called DISCORD and signed up. I see nothing about an 'ATS Discord'. I did a search for 'ATS' and 'AboveTopSecret' but it came up empty. I don't understand at all. And I tried to send a message to 'Ghost' but it said Ghost isn't accepting messages.

I don't understand this techy stuff at all.

I'm glad to see ATS is returning back to normal. I couldn't stomach the level of stupid I witnessed during all the chaos. Consider yourselves lucky for getting your original accounts back.

Mine is gone for good for questioning a mod and posting a thread about it, whom I don't even know exists here anymore. I wasn't even given a post ban, just *poof*, gone. There used to be a process but not anymore since the old owners left.

The ban-happy situation was and (maybe still is?) BS but the place does need some common sense order. I wonder if they'll ban me again for making a new account. So many years lost over nothing.

I think if you present your case to the mods, you have a good chance of being reinstated. They are being very forgiving (not to those that trashed the place over the last week, though). They realize there was a lot of wonky crap going on the last year or so. Pop into discord. Most of them are there. Cool peeps that really care about this place.

I wasn't coming back. I thought the place was blown up and that was the end of it. Wasn't going to start a whole new account after 19 years. Glad there is a way around. I just hope this doesn't happen again. The place fell apart within hours. Vile language. Nonsense trolling posts. Crap sexist U2Us sent to females from males. I was totally repulsed by what I saw without mods around. (and I'm not just saying that because I was a mod here).
