Recently, WG gave Vermont a bunch of buffs, and although they are nice, they still do not address the fundamental issues with the ship: its lack of
speed, durability, and firepower. The heels can heal back 50% of citadel damage, and reload lot quicker, but still is very pointless if you eat a
bunch of torps or get dev struck by citadels. She is too easy to kill, and I'd like to see the belt armor increased to 450mm, and the citadel placed
underwater to reflect the historical "all or nothing" armor scheme she is based on. Her guns are very accurate, but have too long of a reload, and
do not deal enough damage. I think they should give her des moines autobounce angles, or allow her to overmatch 32mm like Yamato. The reload needs to
be AT LEAST 30 seconds, and the turret traverse is way to slow. Speaking of slow, the ship itself is still too slow. Yes, they buffed the
acceleration, which is nice, but the speed is so slow it takes AGES to get into the battle, and I usually get dev struck when I do. I think they
should make her go 30 kts like Montana and Ohio. This would also make her concealment buff more useful, as it would allow Brisk to actually work. I
also think her ASW is very weak, as subs can just pop up at 2km and dev strike me. I'd like to see Vermont get a 10km hydro (like the new Soviet sub)
and 3 flights of depth charge planes with a 20 second cooldown. Overall, Vermont is fun but needs some serious buffs to be competitive, at the moment
It is one of the most boring to play and weakest BBs, I haven't played a weaker ship since they reworked (nerfed) aircraft carriers.
