The hour glass…

She was out in my garden the other night, I noticed a small candle burning from both ends. I yelled out, “are you here to save me?”The other voice was a shy girl who was chanting musical notes, she said “no, I am here to teach you a lesson, a lesson that you have not yet learned.”

I yelled back “I thought my life was full of lessons so there in nothing left to learn.” This time she screamed back saying “you fool, how many ships can you burn.” My head crumbled as I thought about EVERY mistake that I have made and whispered into a mega phone “It’s true, this is you!”

“Yes” she raged, “I am here to chop down your ONLY freakin cherry tree. “No” I cried, “my father built this land 60 years ago from a magical time, you can’t chop down my only cherry tree that I have left.”

The girl left and was never seen again, time went by and the man realized all his mistakes in life were only a lesson for him to become a better person. To follow the wayward mile and to climb life with dedication and if he did ever make a mistake he would soak it in and learn the lesson.

One starry night the man went out to his large forest and chopped down all 100 cherry trees, afterward he cried and cried. One hour went by and he tried to think of his lesson for cutting down every cherry tree he had left when all of a sudden the man left the hour glass and was sent back to earth to start all over…

Plant a tree, hug a tree.
