What deeply saddens me, is the possible loss of some truly amazing information.
Just think of Mr Koi's information alone. What about other brilliant content, from members that have passed away?

I have tried to find info I printed off, from other old sites. They seem to have just disappeared.

I can't even imagine that type of loss with the content here.

I know how to at least get my own threads from here, and copying and pasting some other good one but that is about the extent of my knowledge for saving the info.

The sheer volume of info here, and it's possible loss is just devastating to think about

Finally someone who has the same take as me about this. Really who cares about the bad behavior? That's a minor annoyance compared to the realization they might be forced to simply shut down the physical servers if they can't wrest control of the site.

What I find REALLY odd in a scary way is, we are all making posts here. So, we know the owners could do the same. WHY ARENT THEY? They could easily prove its them. (there's a fake thread up by "the owner" btw called "STOP THE INSANITY")

Are the owners in on it?

Were they paid a sum to let ATS wither on the vine?

Or are they at a total loss of words for what has happened and literally have nothing helpful to report because they don't know anything at all about how, why, who etc?

You still know that information and that is what really matters. There is so much information out there it is hard to keep up with it all. Make some sense of it and have a clearer idea of how this world works and how to get through it, helps those you can with it.

A person can only remember a limited amount of information. No human being "knows" ATS. Thats why we have encyclopedias and dictionaries. So you don't have to try remembering an impossible amount if info you can just look it up as needed or casually browse at random.

With so much going on in the world, ATS was a bit of my clearinghouse of news and information, Twitter is OK and Rogue Nation is where I'll likely be, even if ATS survives it will probably lose even more real content contributors that it will likely be a shadow of itself. It's weird ATS existed fine for years with a flare-up here and there, now these past 6-7 years when so much is happening ATS isn't set up to process it all effectively. Back in the day, the UAP acknowledgment would have been discussed over and over instead it has been somewhat dismissed.

It's become a big graffiti wall, and everybody is coming to spew their dogma and grievances

It only works well for me, when there are enough participants and a good mixture of content and viewpoints. I just can't stand the back-and-forth arguing, it bleeds into almost every thread. Some members here I know their posts just from the same words and expressions used over and over and over. None of that encourages free thought and ideas, it dampens it.

It worked better when we were questioning and curious instead of cantankerous, cranky, and self-righteous.

There is loads of good old content here that needs to be archived, the survival and herbal remedies are what I'll miss most. Damn, lots of suggestions really helped me over the years...

well, that and the people from all over the world who have contributed much over the years.

enough of my morning rant... off to see what's up in the real world and if it is too depressing just stick to watching college football.

100% agreed. But it made it hard to be curious and questioning with censorship in place.

Its pretty certain that this site was slow-killed by the elite.

I do not what happened, or why, or by who....but none of that really matters to me.

I figured out how to get back, even though, as some believe, "here" may only be temporary as well.


I'll what time here there is...until, and unless, "whatever" happens again. There is far too much going on the big world beyond/outside, to miss an opportunity, Any opportunity to stay in contact.

It just really is sad.
I have learned so much, just from threads where books were recommended alone.
Then you had people that were in a specialized field, like a particular mod, and an angel
And others that were just willing to provide their experiences and discuss it with you.
I loved reading about something, then going back and finding old threads about it.

See, I have a real life, with a huge family, lots of friends and many hobbies.
While losing this site's resources and company will be sad, there are other places on the web, and plenty to do in real life.

Hi again. There is also what I believe to be a rumor that there have been new bannings since this has gone down. The only way we could even know this is if a trusted and known member re-re-upped and spoke out saying they had been. The only place I have seen this claim made was by the first marauder that I have taken to calling ''it'' doto it's AI like postings.

I figured that you would have been banned as a logical threat to the insanity so I went looking and here you are. It is you ain't it?
