Just to be clear

From the name and avatar, I'm sure you know who I was in my old account.
David64 and Marvin was/is my avatar.

Now that Marvin is proudly flying the bird, it's not aimed at *you*, nor is it some childish attempt to thumb my nose at the Mods. [ if they ever get back in ] It's aimed at whoever caused this shi*show and the incompetent dweeb who doesn't seem to care and can't be bothered to try to fix it.

I had 15 years in my old account and although I've made a new one, there's no way in hell I'm investing as much time and effort into this one. I was never a huge content creator so I don't think it's going to make a difference, but if others start feeling the same, content will go down, traffic will go down and the Owners will just close up shop and say "Meh".

Some people want to rally and "Keep ATS Alive !! " but while you're at it, you may want to remember you're struggling to keep a site alive that doesn't care if it survives and ATS obviously doesn't give a sh** about you so be careful where you place your loyalties.

I believe one's past threads are accessible, so just dredge them up and continue your thread with the new account name.

For all we know this site was hacked and they have done the best they can do to salvage what they could.

Or does this go beyond just using this site for debate?

Kinda the point innit ? Nobody seems to care enough to even give us a heads up on what happened, are they trying to fix it or ANYTHING AT ALL.

Just dead air and "figure it out on your own guys" .

I had a lot of content in the mud pit, and it was all trashed. Some folks had very weak thin skin, and way too much sand in their vajayjay's. I doubt this will last much longer. At least the Discord avenue exists to keep up with folks.

Yeah, except that the admins probably did it cuz they actually care about the site. It takes way more energy to purge the password data than to do nutting.

Judging by the posts from the new admins, and the resulting retreat into silence over months, I'd figure they simply removed themselves from said status quo for good, with all of us "failing the test". Chew on that for a second, and let me know what you think.

I've been on Discord more in the last 24 hours than I've ever been and going over to RN to start an account. This place has been circling the drain for a while and maybe the end is near or maybe not, but it's just not worth the effort anymore.

I tried Discord...a little too 'free' in the speech department. I'm just too old for crudeness, I guess. Plus I don't adapt well to change and the layout seems too awkward for me.

I suspect all 'free speech' sites that aren't liberally oriented will be getting their own attacks in the coming days, until they can sneak in enough laws to eliminate them completely.

I never thought I'd get this set in my ways, yet here I am.
