I thought it was Me

Was it something I said?

That's what I thought as I clicked "reply" and then my screen turned grey with a rotating progress icon. Now, it's not unheard of to catch a hang up in that process, as we see duplicate posts because people click twice while the first is still loading.

This was different because there was no option to do anything but watch the rotating progress icon OR back out. I backed out once, and it took me back to the reply editor, then the screen glitched and the page refreshed on its own and POOF, my reply was gone. I was like "Oh snip...", I guess someone has had enough of my abysmal pessimism lol (yes ....I know, but can ya blame me? I mean good grief..)

So I was still logged in at that point and began to panic a little but tried another reply in the same thread only rewritten slightly different because I couldn't remember word for word what I had written originally. (Sidenote: Sometimes I purposely copy the text of my replies because I don't trust the functions on ATS and don't want to lose my long winded pissing sessions, it's a lot of work being disgruntled! Lol.)

As I clicked "reply", the same process transpired and so I decided to log out and try to log back in.

No joy.

I was like, okay I'm banned....but wait, can ATS see the reply as I type it in realtime and nuke it before it can be posted?? Plus, no warning or email? It just didn't add up. I took a deep breath and went to bed, hoping tomorrow would shed some light on what possibly occurred.

So it seems it wasn't me after all, but I was prepared to accept that! Lol. Someone nuked our site from orbit, but it was like a neutron bomb.

A neutron bomb kills everyone but leaves infrastructure practically intact. I think something like that happened here. It's developing so fast right now I'm probably way off by the time I post this. I gotta catch up.

Perhaps we were REALLY over the target on a topic, or several, and we were "neutered" to slow it down. 🤷🏻 Who knows...

I'm terrible at naming myself in virtual spaces so the new name and even the old one was my feeble attempt at being clever 🤦🏾‍♂️

New: VariedcodeSole = Very cold Soul

Old: Eternalshadow = I couldn't tell ya lol

Good too see us still here and hope we get our stuff back.

I actually had the same initial reaction. It's usually when a particular not-named user would troll all my posts to talk about child sex abuse, and when I would report the person, and respond asking him to stop I would immediately get banned. That has happened to me a couple of times. So I figured, welp they banning me again for complaining about unnamed user trolling my posts and spewing his slander about child sex abuse and my reporting it. But I guess it happened to everyone this time.

I reckon we all had similar thoughts this morning or last night.

I chose to purposely logout last night before going to bed after partaking in philosophy/predictions thread.

After trying to log back in this morning, i thought i got banned for some reason.

I was in the "Joe Biden: Address the Nation" thread adding my two cents and that's when it went pear shaped. I honestly thought I got torched lol..

I'm not sure how i feel about being back, something is very off!!

I tried to make a new account earlier today with the same details i used to make this one and was told my email account was deemed to be a throwaway account... Its not!

It's strange some are still logged into the "before time" on PC but can't add to anything. Weird.
