Full title: As it harbored Hamas, Qatar spent $1 billion-plus trying to influence U.S. education, politics

Did you, like myself, ponder why there is such a seemingly groundswell of universities that have such a large population of pro-Palestinian/Jihadi/Hamas support?

Well, perhaps here we can alleviate some of that wonder in exchange for factual information:

Since at least 2016, Qatar has spent $77 million hiring 29 foreign registered agents to influence U.S. policy – one of the largest lobbying fleets among Middle Eastern countries, according to the Justice Department Foreign Agent Registration Act database. That database shows some of Washington D.C.'s most powerful and influential law firms and Public Relations outfits have taken millions of dollars to promote Qatar's interests, including Holland & Knight and Mercury Public Affairs, LLC.

The country also has handed out about $1.6 billion since June 2020, and $5.4 billion in total under Section 117 of the Higher Education Act of 1965, in donations and contacts to American universities ranging from Harvard to George Washington University, according to the Higher Education Gifts and Contracts database maintained by the U.S. Department of Education.

With the lack of values and standards, the mind is free to wander. To be hypocritical without irony. The ever shifting sands, no pun intended, of political discourse while not having to acknowledge the past must be an amazing experience.

Not only do we have this sort of influence happening, don't forget that it's also embedded in the White House. If the 6B in cash wasn't a fairly clear indication perhaps the 80 billion in proceeds for Iran for ducking US sanctions will.

However I doubt it.

When the October 7th attacks happened, it was the universities, BLM who latched onto this first. The out in the open anti-semitism is troubling. Not because there was any notion that it didn't exist, but because of the past 8 years of everyone being called a nazi.

Hamas is just the face of Palestinians who want to kill all Jews.

My position on that has not changed.

Palestinians are the enemy.

Hamas is just a name they use when they kill babies and rape women.

Is that why no other nation will harbor those refugees?

Because that would explain why no other nation will harbor those refugees....

Why won't other nations take those children into their countries?

Honest question.

Because many countries want war.

And people don't care.

Yep that is without counting China and other countries, then you see the two-party system complaining about influences in politics to steer voters and get a desirable result.

If this money influence is not election interference, then what it should be called.

Oh, yes, "donations"

Because many countries want war they won't let children into their nations? That doesnt make sense.

People not caring does. But that's never stopped refugees from being mobilized in the past. Why is it different now?

Refugees were not always taken in. Syrian refugees were not taken in.

Sometimes it happens like with Ukrainians and Poland but not always.

It's a new form of warfare. There are no more troops to kill. It's a war on civilians.

Amen, DBC, amen, hamas and their supporters are nothing but animals, human beings that has been stripped from any humanity, since age 3, soo to think that these animals were in training since childhood is troublesome.

BLM is now a hamas arm in the US, I always called them terrorist and that is what they are, they are now supporting hamas, then look at the soo call "Palestinians refugees in the US" celebrating the attacks on Israel, people better get their head out of their ass because we have hamas walking, celebrating and protesting in our streets and they are getting away with it.

Syria? I think i'm seeing a pattern here. Even though roughly half have been able to leave Syria.

Have to disagree. This war and warfare has been around for a very long time.

Point being however, this unlike the many wars, no one is willing to accept Palestinian refugees.....

Wow.

That’s pretty callous of you, to warble on about starting wars and civilians being killed for it.

I do hope your country doesn’t push for war and someone you know has a child killed as collateral damage.

That would be tragic irony at it’s most tragic.

So if you think BLM is an arm of Hamas, do you think BLM supporters should be killed?

This is exactly the place we are going to end-up.

What a cute easily readable three line post.. .

Babies didn't shoot. Toddlers didn't shoot. Pregnant woman didn't shoot.

You ignore this for your cute little post that ignores the horror of what is happening.
