Irish Member of the European Parliament: Israel has committed war crimes

Mick Wallace who is an Irish Member of the European Parliament has spoken out against Israel's response following the attacks by Hamas that have caused the death of at least 1,400 Israeli civilians.

Mr Wallace said that when powerful countries fail to show respect for International Law then the less powerful countries pay a very heavy price. Something which is true as the Palestinian death toll has risen to over 3,000 (most of them civilians).

He said, Israel's list of war crimes grow by the minute

1) Complete siege of Gaza
2) Incitement to genocide
3) Collective punishment
4) Forced expulsion
5) Disproportional aerial bombardment of the civilian population
6) Attacks on civilian structures, hospitals, and humanitarian workers

According to new reports over 1,000 Palestinian children have died do far (part of his speech).

He finishes his speech by saying that by offering unqualified support for this grossly disproportional colonial brutality EU leaders and Politicians have made themselves complicit in the war crimes committed by Israel.

Hundreds dead in Gaza hospital bombing, local authorities say

An Israeli air strike killed hundreds of people at a Gaza City hospital on Tuesday, health authorities in the Hamas-run enclave said, and the United Nation said an Israeli strike also hit one of its schools being used as a shelter.

A Gaza civil defence chief said on Al-Jazeera television that more than 300 people were killed at Al-Ahli al-Arabi Hospital. A Gaza Health Ministry official said at least 500 people were killed and injured. Both departments are under the Hamas-run government.

Reuters, and practically every major news organisation (inc. the BBC) immediately parroted the view that Israel had bombed a hospital.

Media reporting is showing a serious lack of scrutiny and verification, because it transpires that it was likely a Hamas missile and/or stores of munitions stored in the hospital. There is even doubt that a hospital was even hit.

The point is that everyone wants to believe Israel is the bad guy and jump on opportunities to say so. Mick Wallace is a left wing loon who hates Israel, and the EU Parliament is a joke.

How about trying to convince the entire Arab Muslim world that it wasn't Israel?! There's no way, but good luck with putting the toothpaste back into the tube.

BOTH groups are equally stupid and reckless with not only their existence, but with the entire worlds existence as well. Absolutely NO ONE deserves to be sucked down with their BS.

Indeed, the media have reported on this pointing to Israel. I have made a thread about it but also said this story needs to be verified because I knew that sometimes these stories can change over time.

However Israel has killed thousands of innocent people so far with these air strikes mostly civilians including women and children. At least 3,000.

Health authorities in Gaza say at least 3,000 people have been killed in Israel’s bombardment since 7 October. At least 940 children and 1,032 women have been killed, the Hamas government media office said.

Whether Wallace is a loon is a matter of personal opinion. But the points he made are valid.

My comment is that you can't answer war crimes with war crimes. And this is what has been happening.

I very much agree!

Although I feel for those innocent civilians who were killed on both sides and are still dying in large numbers especially the Palestinians at the moment as they are bombarded constantly.

The only solution is sitting down to the negotiations table as there is risk the war will spread in the area and then around the globe.

There are some members in other threads who dint seem to have realised how serious the situation is and they argue for the war to go on.
