Count me as one of those who has experienced 'unexplained' phenomena. Actually every home I've lived in has had 'something'. Old or newly built, it doesn't matter. I've felt things and sometimes weird things happen. I am of the opinion it's in EVERY house or apartment, but it's just that people are so busy and distracted that they don't pay attention and don't stop to consider what is going on and stop to feel what is going on. Ghosts, demons, angels, ... it's all real and happening.

40% of Surveyed Americans Experience 'Unexplained' Phenomena in Homes

Do you think your house is haunted? If you do you're among large chunk of Americans believers. A new survey conducted by All Star Home shows one in six people across the nation think supernatural activity is going on at home. Even spookier? Two out of five U.S residents in the survey reported they have experienced unexplained or unusual occurrences at home.

One in 10 people have used a Ouija board at their home. Forty-two percent say they would not use it again

Of those who say they have experienced oddities in their home, 49% reported witnessing something unexplainable in the bedroom. Other popular areas include the living room (26%), kitchen (23%), a hallway or stairway (21%) and the basement (12%)

Of those who witnessed something eerie 19% reported praying while 11% played detective and researched the home's history. Another 11% said they performed a cleansing ritual. Seven of the 1,017 people surveyed said they moved out after the experience.

More than two in five people experienced something unexplainable or unusual in their home with 42% of them reporting they felt the presence of something they couldn’t see. Meanwhile 37% (more than 1 in 3) people have heard unexplainable sounds including footsteps or voices, and 19% have seen apparitions or ghostly figures.

More than 30% of those interviewed said they are "freaked out" by old homes and 39 % said they have felt the presence of a dead family member. The average age of a home where people reported unexplained experiences was found to be 88 years.

My house in Central Illinois has a residual haunting and I've posted about it a few times here on ATS. I still own the house, my kids live in it and they tell me whenever they see it, but my house here in Kentucky seems to be "clean" . I know for a fact someone died in this house, but so far...nada.

40% and yet the topic is still dismissed by the septics. I sometimes wonder what childhood trauma made them so adverse to anything Fortean.

I've seen a few things in our house over the past year and a half or so when we bought it. Nothing suggests the house is a hot spot for hauntings or anything. Other older houses had a few shared experiences of the strange and unnatural. I don't much think about it past stories anymore, regardless of witnesses. There's no way of proving it in the way we think about proof, so why bother. That doesn't mean I'm not interested in it. I really am. I just gave up on using a vocabulary that lacks the words for the ideas I try to convey. If that makes sense.

ETA: S+F for the push for research and anecdotes. I'll always try to chime in, regardless of how much I've been ridiculed in the mudpit days when I tried to spin this site outward.

Count me in as I beleive that paranormal is real, alive and well. IMO its spiritual. I have had Sleep Paralysis since age 7 and have had visitations BUT not in every place I have ever lived.

Our current house a is paranormal hot spot. Thats why we had Father Robert Morey here in July 2021. We are moving as a result.

When I was younger and single, I rented a small apartment in a very old building, it was a store on the first floor, and two apartments on the second floor.
I was busy working and going out with friends at night, but I noticed that my two cats were 'chasing' something from time to time around the apartment, I simply thought it was a fly or something. But I would catch both of them standing on their hind legs in the middle of the kitchen, sniffing something in the air, which I could not see.
They also started diving under the couch in fear, and they were normally happy animals.
When friends slept over they told me there was a 'woman in white' standing in my bedroom doorway trying to wake them up. And it happened so many times that I began to be frightened about what was in that building. Tenants came and went in the other apartment, saying they didn't like it there.
Then my brother moved in with me and moved right out again, he saw the same woman others saw, same description.
I bumped into an older woman who lived around the corner one day, who told me the history of that building - a woman had hung herself in the attic many years before, and the attic was right above my apartment. Also, the immediate area was one of murders and suicides.
The building was right on a river, and I wondered if that had something to do with it. A river with an Indian name. My friends always said it was like something out of 'The Amityville Horror'!
Anyway, I met my future husband while living there, he never saw this ghostly woman, so she didn't scare him off, and I left there and married him.
Still living in the same area I have been past that old place many times and wanted to speak to the residents and ask them how they feel about it, but no one is ever outside, maybe one of these days!

Count me in too. I’ve witnessed a few things myself over the years…such as shadow people and on one occasion a floating orange/firey orb in my house.

I’m starting to think that just like there's has been an active cover up of UFO’s/UAP’s over the decades (although more recently a lot more is coming to light on that subject)…that there has also been an active cover up of the paranormal phenomena too imo…

They both share a lot of similar characteristics…not to mention the fact that similar tactics are used to debunk and ridicule both phenomena…

In 1993 I bought a large home in Germany. The home was built in 1799. It was haunted.

All animals dies. My daughter fought everyday for 10 years...with over 35 liters of blood transfusions over 40 serious operations and today 100 disabled.

Now you know why I am a demonologist.. I hate the dark side and volunteer to fight it at every chance.

When I say I hate Satan and the demons, they know it for I have confronted many.

Ours has been just "annoyance" issues. I believe they are people related to me that have passed.

Things come up missing, when you really want them. I had a very expensive pendant on a necklace that could not find for a few months.
Then one day, hubby walks into the kitchen, and there it is, still on the necklace (it could slide over the clasp very easliy as the bail was much bigger.) right in the middle of the wide open floor.
We have also had my grandpa's large 100' measuring tape, end up in the middle of our bed, and I still have a book, that I used for reference often, that has gone missing.
Just little things like that.

I had my first experience with the 'paranormal' when I was three years old. My whole life has been devoted to researching the whys and how's of the subject, and I came the conclusion years ago that there's nothing 'para' about a very normal part of our reality.

Psychometry is one of my favorite areas, and as with everything we do the more we use it the better we get. Sensing the world around us is something does, though few are even aware they're doing it.

I'm pretty sure governments-ours, at least understand this phenomenon. They wouldn't have spent billions; trillions over these many decades studying all the different facets if they weren't getting results.

The mystics through the ages are said to be able to levitate; they could put their bodies in stasis and slow their heartbeat to undetectable levels (scientifically studied) and expose themselves to prolonged temperatures without experiencing hypothermia-also scientifically proven.

Why, it's even said to be possible to walk on water! To part the seas! The same book that tells us these things also says we, too can accomplish the same...and far more, if we just have faith.
What is 'faith'? Knowledge and belief that it IS possible. We can even move a mountain if our 'faith' is great enough!

There is much about this realm of our existence that, for some reason, academia has spent a lot of effort convincing us isn't real and doesn't exist. I believe they hold many of the 'keys' to this 'kingdom' and will do everything they can to keep the power in their hands, lest the people discover them and TPTB lose their power over humanity.

Everything in our world has an opposite polarity, and the rulers of the planet seem to prefer the negative side of this realm.

Considering the five near-extinction level events in earths history adds much to contemplate on this verse:

'Ecclesiastes 1:9 What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.'

Ya don't say. The room where you sleep, where your consciousness turns on and off, you see strange things.

For real, I've had some strange experiences. When I was a kid, I would go down into the cellar with my dad to check on the furnace. Once while we were down there, we heard someone walking up in the house. No one else was home. And it wasn't the house settling. Someone walking on the floor made a very distinct noise. We'd heard it tons of times when my mom or brother was home. It was the exact some pattern of noises, moving across the floor.

Yikes.

It is all fun and games until they cross the line. We thought it was kind of funny until someone materialized in my family room (5' from where im sitting), and addressed one of my guests, before fading from sight. It was a bad situation. I have to admit, it is funny now, but I wouldn't want a repeat.

I've heard of accounts of people , possibly being abducted by aliens, also experiencing strange phenomena at their homes. Lights flickering on/off, strange sounds etc. It's possibly related. Perhaps it's the sounds the labcoats make while observing us (at times earth feels like a lab experiment).

Father Morey said that the spooks are here because the evil neighbor act as a channel hence they come. He also said that evil is always trying to expand its footprint and conquer. They could be satanists by faith.

According to people who have a straight view into their backyard and pool from across the ake they evidently have some kick arse swinger parties complete with a stripper stage, laser light show, prostitutes and 30 person weekend marathons. Apparently so entertaining they watch the show with binoculars. Since this guy is high up in state government I wonder if they are into "kids" as all the children in this neighborhood are so well "groomed". I count more than six households. Especially the young goodie bag mules.

The house I lived in with my SO their was an entity there... you'd see a white mist float by the bedroom door, our dogs would stare and watch something we didn't see. My friend got pushed down the basement stairs, things would move on thier own, the basement made the hair stand up on your arms, my son said someone with a gnarled hand touched his shoulder when he was getting something out of the freezer we had down their, and when I burnt frankincese inside the house the front door burst open and it was locked and firmly closed, but the weirdest thing that happened to me there was I talked to an older gentleman outside the house about my SO and some basic questions about myself when I first started living there and getting serious with SO. Never saw him again, until I went over to SO's parents house and saw a picture of his grandfather and I said he looked like the nice man I was talking to, turned out he died in 93' and this was 2005 when I talked to him.

I might have briefly discussed it, but I haven't made a thread about it. It was 12 years ago. 3-6 months of phenomena.
