Can you admit that this is Trump's law that expects overseas citizens at risk to pull out their credit cards?

and

I don't think a president can choose to ignore laws that Congress wrote and passed and that were signed into law by the sitting President at the time.

Which is it, Trump or congress that wrote this law? Please provide links....if they exist and you're not afraid of people examining the facts.

I had a friend of a friend move to Israel last year. Why anyone would want to move to such an unstable region is beyond me. Especially with a unethical government in power. I guess it's a jewish thing?

Wow. You understand that this law is from the decades ago...right:

The decades, yes. So it's not Joe Biden's fault?

The law itself? No.

Other than him signing whatever amendment was made in 2022.

Why isn't he "waiving" or "bypassing" this one?

SCOTUS disagrees.

Nope. Look at the date. The Biden Administration successfully did their loan forgiveness another way, that didn't defy SCOTUS.

You've gone so far off topic in attempts to defend your position.

Your border wall link was off topic. Biden's predilection for loan forgiveness is right on topic!

Is it that easy? Explain the process, please.

This is infuriating -
American Citizens who are being forced to flee have to sign to promise to repay their own government in order to return to safety, yet that same government is paying for many millions of illegals to live in our own country and follow none of our laws, and this with our tax dollars?
If Trump or the Republican party does not win in 2024, I fear more than ever for our future.

Wow

If you have a US passport, you have a right to re-enter the US. You just have to have a way of getting to the border.

I don't make the rules, BTW.

Wow with a slap to my forehead.

Let me rephrase. The law, that requires American citizen that request emergency assistance via government transportation to get to safe place, must sign a promissory note for payment for said service isn't hindering anyone from getting out.

Nothing about that requirement is stopping anyone from getting out of Israel. Nobody is asking for a cash down payment or a deed to their home for collateral before they can escape. They just have to sign a promissory note. It's the law. It's a rule of engagement, a contract, if you like.

No, they didn't. It's been standing policy that the DoD will move remains to wherever the family requests. If the family wants the remains interred elsewhere, they are responsible for the cost, and then file a reimbursement request from the DoD.

In 2006 American civilians were evacuated from Lebanon. They had to sign promissory notes, and were charged the cost of a commercial ticket after the evacuation. 2007 briefing on the evacuation of Lebanon
