The Middle East has just erupted. Israel attacked by Hamas and Iran (yes, they sponsored it). 700 Dead, 2,000 injured, 100 kidnapped and Biden slept through it all, missing that infamous "3AM call". Now with four Americans killed and others missing and assumed as being taken hostage, he holds a BBQ at the White House with a band and everything. Israel just declared war against Hamas and really Iran. They are our ally in the region, Americans are dead and missing, the whole thing is erupting, ... and this guy hires a band and has a BBQ party. Unbelievable.

Joe Biden held a barbecue for his staff at the White House while at least four Americans were confirmed dead in the surprise attack by Hamas on Israel Saturday and Palestinian sympathizers protested at the president's gates.

A pool reporter overheard a band playing from the White House lawn while pro-Palestine protesters picketed outside the gates, chanting 'Free Palestine' and demanding the US cut aid to Israel.

The reporter questioned why they could hear the band, and a spokesperson replied: 'The President and First Lady are hosting a BBQ for White House Executive Residence staff and their families.

Biden has made no public statement on the attack Saturday other than confirmation of a phone call between himself and Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu - and news of the barbecue triggered outrage online.

Abigail Jackson, a spokesperson for Senator Josh Hawley, wrote: 'Biden is literally at a BBQ with a live band rn he's not closely monitoring anything except maybe the chicken on his plate.'

It comes as Israeli ambassador to the United States Michael Herzog confirmed earlier reporting that multiple Americans are missing after the Hamas attack.

So what; the world is supposed to stand still every time there is a foreign conflict?

The President of the United States is supposed to be WORKING to help resolve the situation. He should be WORKING to help get the Americans back and bring justice for the four dead Americans who were killed in the attack. He should be WORKING with leaders from other countries and building a coalition against Iran and Hamas. There are many things he should be doing ... but hiring a band and eating BBQ at a party at the White House is NOT one of them.

It's a party during a time of crisis. WHO CARES if it was planned or not. Events can be cancelled because of .. you know .. the possible start of WWIII. He has work to do and he's not doing it. Probably doesn't even know what is going on in the world. Get real.

Big ol' nothing nothingburger. It was a party for the staff. What would you have the whitehouse staff do about this situation? It was their meal plans for the day. Maybe Biden was inside doing something? I don't know, neither do you. Sounds to me like you really want WW3.

I hate the democrats as much as the next american, but we're not the world police- the middle east has been at war for thousands of years.

WW3 is just around the corner, and our worthless leadership helped start it- but I'm still having steak for dinner.

Biden intelligence agencies watched and listened to IRAN train HAMAS for these attacks for 2 months.

Yet they did not warn Israel of what was coming.

SIMILARLY, Biden intelligence agencies did not warn Americans that a Chinese spy platform was coming to hover over America, and potentially release anthrax high in our atmosphere!

I don't want us involved at all. But at least hold a press conference and say we're working to get American hostages returned safely before having a BBQ.

What exactly was the President suppose to do?

In this day and age, somewhere, at some point and time there is always a crisis going on, or starting up.

The problem here is that the entire region has been a problem since the fall of the Ottoman empire, where it was all divided up and the people dividing it up that area did not understand the people, the cultures or how the Ottomans managed to keep control over the area.

Right now there is shooting. Sending people in now, would be foolish and cause far more problems. Would you prefer that a rescue team gets shot and return in a body bag? Or worse, do you want the hostages to get killed?

Like most, the President has to wait, get his daily briefing, and then listen to what his advisors tell him, before making a plan of action and chances that there is a lot going on behind the scenes that no one really knows or is seeing. And until we know who is taken, killed or even wounded, due to the chaos going on, the most that anyone can do is wait.

So right now it is a waiting game, when the firing stops, Hamas may release those US persons and send them home.

The other part of the problem here is this: When it comes to the region there, neither Hamas or Israel have negotiated in good faith or been acting as good neighbors. There is plenty of blame to go around on both sides for the suffering that is going on. Even when there is a cease fire and the area is at peace, one side or the other decides that it either wants something or acts like a bully towards the other.
