Word going around this morning is that the US has brokered a deal that would see a prisoner exchange as well as a four to five day ceasefire.

The plan still needs to be approved by the Israeli war cabinet, who are scheduled to meet in about half an hour.

Our news is saying the ceasfire is being 'brokered' by Quatar and Hamas have agreed to the terms.
Will be interesting to see if Israeli 'war cabinet' agree to the deal...... my money is on not.

Whether or not Israeli leaders agree will be up to U.S. pressure working or not working.

Just my view, but Israel will not give in to any pressure from the States.
We shall have to wait and see.
But if reports are right that Hamas has agreed, but Israel now turn round and say no to a ceasfire...... I'm guessing people who have been calling for a ceasfire and/or those supporting Palestinians (not Hamas) will have a field day pointing fingers at Israel and I suspect so will many, many more people.
