The children need to stop squabbling and return their attention to the Biden Crime Family.

Impeachment Inquiry. Anyone remember that?

The MSM is wall-to-wall covering the children squabbling, because it keeps them from having to talk about low rated dementia man, and the criminal evidence being uncovered against him.

"Those are serious implications. If it comes out to be true, yes, we would remove him if that's the case," McCarthy told Fox News on Wednesday.
Source: www.usatoday.com...

What I don't get and I don't see anybody else specifically pointing this out, but why would McCarthy worry about removing Gaetz from some committees? If he's guilty, he should be rotting away in jail, shouldn't he? Wouldn't that effectively remove him from committees? And everything else?

These politicians act like when one of their fellow politicians commit a crime, there won't be any penalties and that a slap on the wrist would be sufficient. But there SHOULD be penalties. Penalties as defined under the law. Isn't that the purpose for laws in the first place? Equal justice under the law, and yada yada yada?

Moreover, be held to the highest possible standard of the law, exclusively.

As we just saw yesterday, the majority of Republicans in office don't support Trump's brand of "Conservatism."

If the GOP had allowed the government to be shutdown, it would've guaranteed them losing seats next year.

It's also worth remembering to expel a member of Congress it requires a 2/3 vote. If Gaetz gets expelled it would mean that over half of the Republicans in the House voted for his expulsion, assuming the Dems are unanimous in voting to expel him.

I think the optimum part of the first sentence is, "Republicans in office." The majority of Republicans in the real world, however, do.

It's from the article I posted on the first page of this thread that you clearly haven't read. Like I said above, do you really think it's a coincidence this is being floated while Gaetz is trying to oust McCarthy.

They want him gone and they'll use the ethics report as an excuse.

In a working, functional political party that serves the People, there are differences of opinion, members that hold other member accountable, and the resulting strife. In a dysfunctional party there is lockstep voting that serves the party, and the resulting decent into tolerating the previously unthinkable lawlessness we see today. Democracy is chaotic, totalitarianism is orderly once the opposition is unconstitutionally eliminated.

The House doesn't confirm military appointees. The Senate does.
