Yes, misinformation is actually the missing information - I said that a few years ago, and I almost got crucified by some humans because of it!

Now things are slowly changing because more people express exactly what I was saying.

This will be very interesting to follow because I wonder how many humans have the strength to actually go against evil!

Sinister developments

The only strength we have over evil is the strength given us
by our Father in Heaven. There is no human strength that can
defeat evil OP. this isn't "Lord of the Rings." And yet the victory
is already ours because Christ in human form defeated evil on
the cross.

And he defeated death three days later when he walked out of
the tomb. So in terms of eternity victory is ours already. Evil
still believes there is a fight. When as believers in Christ we
know better. Be patient and trust God not men or anything they
say. Nor in any strength you may think you have. Because the only
thing that's going to happen, is what's supposed to happen.
According to Gods word.

Misinformation is incorrect or misleading information.

It differs from disinformation, which is deliberately deceptive and propagated information which is possibly what you mean.

Either way none of the above equates to truth, which requires actual facts and evidence to back up claims.

Misinformation and lying are related concepts.

But they are not exactly the same thing.

Lies are a blatant attempt at deception.

Misinformation can be the result of mistakes, misunderstandings, or even outdated or incorrect information.

Both however can contribute to the erosion of trust, and/or hinder informed decision-making.

So the fact that facts and evidence can be covered up, hidden,
lied about and deflected as "Conspiracy theory" or even ignored.
Changes the truth?

Please tell me how this works for anyone but those hiding the
truth?

And the truth has never been a claim. That's why it's called "The truth and nothing but the truth"

Lying changes truth Saloon.

When someone deliberately withholds or conceals the truth with the purpose of deceiving others, it can be seen as a form of lying known as "lying by omission".

And the truth has never been a claim. That's why it called "The truth and nothing but the truth"

Well in the context of language and communication, a truth claim is a statement or assertion that someone makes about the world or a particular state of affairs.

For example, if I say "The sky is blue", I am making a truth claim about the colour of the sky.

Hope that helps clarify matters.

Misinformation = Someone has no clue they spout BS, either because of ignorance or they, themselves, got misinformed.

Disinformation = Someone knows very well what the spout is BS and does it with the intention of manifesting that wrong knowledge in others.

Lying changes truth Saloon.

Lying has nothing to do with the truth so it can not possibly
change the truth when nothing changes the truth.

Can you give me any example of truth changing ever.

You can't be serious? Not in this dimension.

Your post is the perfect example of misinformation.

You were not really lying or intending to make it appear that quote is from me.

Yet others will get the impression.

Have you possibly replied to the wrong fellow Saloon?

Anyhoo the relationship between lying and truth is complex and depends on context and perspective.

Scientific paradigm shifts spring to mind where what we held to be self-evident in the past is proven to be wrong via scientific progress.

You can't be serious? Not in this dimension.

If you say so.

Why?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not holding the mistake against you.

I've made the same mistake myself from time to time, they happen, a couple of days previous if memory serves.

But the unintentional error on your part perfectly illustrates the difference between misinformation and disinformation.

Anyhoo, moving along.

Everyone knows exactly what you are talking about, but they are choosing to play a literal definition game to slide the thread for the "Cause".

For those being deliberately obtuse or with an agenda, the label "misinformation" has been applied heavily and often to anything that goes against the official narrative. That is the misinformation referred to -- labeling truth as misinformation to bury it. Put your dictionaries away.
