A bail bondsman charged alongside former President Donald Trump and 17 others in the Georgia election interference case pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges on Friday, becoming the first defendant to accept a plea deal with prosecutors.
Hall, 59, pleaded guilty to five counts of conspiracy to commit intentional interference with performance of election duties, all misdemeanors. Prosecutors had accused him of participating in a breach of election equipment in rural Coffee County and initially charged him with racketeering and six conspiracy charges.

If you were faced with years in jail for something you didn’t do but they railroad you with no hope of getting it dropped no matter what you do, you take the plea.
When they get to Trump, Willis’s head is gonna spin so fast she will start orbiting the planet like the Goodyear blimp.

Only a smart man would say they are not a smart man.
He got probation, in exchange for cooperation. Which means he now strengthens the case against the other 18. And probation is not a slap on the wrist. Depending on the conditions of his probation, if he commits any other offense the original punishment is brought back. It's a delayed sentence if the contract is broken, pretty much.
A deal like this was not made for no information, the prosecutors made the deal because they feel the information he has to provide is worth making the deal.
Nobody but them knows what that is at this point.

Hall strengthens the case against Powell. If Powell flips, she becomes the star witness against Rudy and Ellis. Rudy and Ellis have direct knowledge of Trump's actions. So if either of them flip the case against Trump becomes much stronger.
Clark, Still, Latham, and Shafer also all had their motions to have their cases removed to federal court denied today. My guess is one of them becomes the next to flip.

Doesn't matter.
The phonecall exonerates him, especially when combined with his duties as POTUS.

If the prosecution can provide no evidence that you did something because you didn't do it why would you admit to something you didn't do , would this not be a jury trial ?
