CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are investigating another string of armed robberies Tuesday morning. Four people were robbed at gunpoint in separate incidents across the city, with the suspects getting away with wallets and cell phones before taking off.

Interesting, looking at crime stats in Chicago the worst it ever has been was back between 1970 and 1990.
And it looks like most crime stats have been taken within the last 10 years, accurate stats that is.

The bad things about stats is that they can be so easily manipulated.
All you need to do to show crime is down is to not report crime. Schools have used this tactic in the past. Failure rates are down cuz they just don't fail the kids...lol

I wonder what the crime rates were in the 1920s - 30s. There isn't much about that time period.

Pointing blame at democrats aside ... wouldn't the economic situation of the nation have anything to do with it?
By 1978 interest rates reached nearly 13% and gas was extremely expensive.
