first off they are not my pics so the credit goes to someone else on youtbe named UFO Seekers, they seem pretty legit and they have 10000's of equipment but know knows.

What are we using to determine speed here?
The green line looks to be a consequence of exposure settings (as demonstrated by the star trails).

I'd guess its taken from a camera where the exposure settings have been dialed up to offset low light capability.
Given the implied movement is from left to right.....we are likely seeing long exposure on the right wing aircraft navigation lights.... which are (disappointingly for this tale)- usually green.

In your grab you'll also notice some yellow in the light trail at regular intervals.....this is likely where the camera captured both the green (right wing) and red (left wing) strobe in long exposure combining to make Yellow. (Red+Green=Yellow).

This is definitely long exposure. The stars do move over the course of the night but the movement is rather slow. To get the stars to streak like this, they had to have taken this pic on a very long exposure time. Quick Google search reveals to get the stars to leave trails like this, a minimum of 30 seconds of exposure time would have been required.

Nice try. A for effort. F for astronomical knowledge.

notice in the fist photo of the 'line' after the yellow 'bar' the green line is Infront of the 'bar' very odd.

its a very safe bet to say that America has a new or aging simi to sub orbital spy craft and we are already back on the moon, i mean going back to the moon.


imagine if you had a base on the back side of the moon, you could do almost anything you could dream of as there is no laws on the moon like here on earth.

as well as it being the highroad in the gravity well, and a easy way to mars or where ever as it would take much less energy to get out of earth's gravty well.

i wonder if you can declare mining rights on the moon?

Google "long exposure airplane" and you'll see lots of examples. And they all look a little different, so the "it doesn't look like an exact replica of this photo" argument is gonna fall completely flat.

you usally dont turn off your nav light, tun them on for a few strobes and flick them off.

what kind of light discipline is that?


this is right over area 51 so its not southen air coming to land at the ranch.

if you notice in the aircraft pictures they are a constant line not on and off for long stretches' and than remain off.

i guess they could be from a test but why light up your lights like that if your testing something, surly they can still do system checks on the ground.

if the one come out from the back of mountains shuts theirs off and than keep than keep them off. And nav lights do you or anyone else in the air if they are off.

i never said it WASN'T an aircraft by the way. Just one displaying odd coloring and than shutting their nav lights off made me look at them as to a reason why that would be.

Wingtip nav lights can be either set to solid or set to blink. The altitude of the aircraft determines the light setting. Strobe lights are on to certain altitudes, and nav lights are changed at other altitudes.

They would have them for operations in the NAS that required normal lighting, but anywhere else they would be running IR lighting. Our last trip to the desert we saw several running under IR over the restricted airspace.

Three strobe flashes, so it's military. The green light means you are seeing the right (starboard) side wingtip light.
The fact that there is little spread in the three pulses of the white strobe means it's traveling slow and not near Mach. 200 to 400 KTs At about 20 miles.

Living outside a navy research base with a NAS, I see nothing unusual.

Only once have I ever seen something unusual and that was a plane pulsing 3-1 strobe flashes
