I have friends that spent summers working on the farms while in HS and college. Those days are long over. Its accurate assessment now that Americans don't do farm work. Im not sure how they would even apply for the position if they wanted to, and if they would even be hired. Im not sure if its actually a 'wont' or a 'cant' situation. Previous gens could pick strawberrys and brocolli.

I did all. Strawberries, raspberries, beans, peas, tomatoes, beets, potatoes, apples, plumbs, cherries and more all by hand. Its extremely hard work in the hot sun. We typically would quit at 2:00pm.

So now we continue have a garden. Were into tomatoes; grape, cherry and plumb and have them growing in containers on our elevated porch as we have a small herd of deer ~ 9 that eat everything.

These tomatoes were store bought. Once replanted from a seed they return to their natural pre hybrid state as in tat sweet, wonderful tomato flavor. We expect at least three gallons of these guys. Great for salads.

Been seeing this again and again from the woke mob, these feelings of being "actively threatened" by the presence of someone with only a different mindset. No weapon, no history of violence, armed only with words, yet they feel physically threatened and unsafe.

I doubt that deep down inside anyone feels truly threatened by the likes of Dr. Cuthbert or Candice Owens or ..., it's simply become the most convenient tool used to shut down opposing viewpoints because how do you argue against "safety"?

As always with the left they take an initial idea and just go off the rails with it to some point it is not workable within normal reality.

This whole I want to feel safe, or "would make other speakers feel “unsafe”. WTH people are we doing here? It's like an initial idea comes along like #MeToo or BLM and we all can say that that is a good idea and a year later we are just shaking our heads in disbelief and disgust. Now they pretty much pushed "safe" to levels unrecognizable from the initial concept.

All this will push our kids into the REAL world where it will chew them up and spit them out and these kids will not be able to take it and spend their whole lives on anti-depressants and one day kill themselves because the real world isn't like the false bubble their education created.

trad lefties even the champagne socialist ones i've met through life tend to value freedom of speech, i'm sceptical anyone lefty today who is also no debate, all in all the whole structure we see is fascist with a hint of Nazi opportunism. lay all 3 side by side it becomes hard not to see this version of new liberalism failing while the risk it too is evolving into fascism, Nazism or Stalinism.

Freedom of speech is in the eye of the speaker and beholder. We can only end up with a 'no bebate' scenario when both sides take hardline stances in their bias' and ideologies, it can never progress. We see it daily here on ATS, neither side moves an inch...division has always been the key driver.

sometimes you have to lead by example. Or just SFTU if you can't.

Dr Alka Sehgal Cuthbert, 62, was told her panel discussion at the Rethinking Education conference on Saturday had been cancelled because of complaints from speakers and delegates about her attendance.

Not surprising when challenging the official narrative. Dr Cuthbert is a woman of colour who was invited to speak on the subject of indoctrination in education and how it can be avoided but she was cancelled due to objections from other speakers and delegates who preferred their far-left echo chamber.
This is not very correct in my opinion. Everyone has their own opinion. I recently bought an assignment online, I found essays.edubirdie.com... for this. I was told that this was not right and that I shouldn’t do it. I will say this, if I want, I will do it even if it is not right.
