I commented in my OP about the idea that they have to warn us.

As to things being foreshadowed, I firmly believe that the MIC keeps new technology hidden until it is outdated from their perspective. When the general public is informed about something, I figure it's a couple of generations in the past.

You're right; they always seem to notify us of their intentions in advance, whatever the reason may be.

When they show us who they are, we really should believe them.

Season 3 Episode 20: Jose Chung's From Outer Space

Mulder and Scully interview a group of people including a navy seal who were involved in an alien abduction. At first they all give the same weird ass alien abduction story. Second interview/hypnosis session with the girl she realizes the abductors are humans in military uniforms and not aliens. Another guy Navy seal knows he saw 'something' and is completely torn.

It's inferred that the people saw something and were all detained and hypnotized by gov/military workers to believe they were abducted by aliens with the same crazy story as disinformation. The programming worked really well on that kid already obsessed with aliens.

Hey mate did you see them parading around Baal's gate at the China/Saudi 'World Government Summit' (sponsored by CNN)?

It was also was the main attraction at the opening ceremony of the G7 Summit.

Could be wrong but interesting that it's the only single piece of architecture UNESCO are bothered with.

I would think the psyop runs deep. It's not aliens, it's actually US military doing it but they are using alien based research or tech. The X Files did hit on many topics we conspiracy theorist hold dear. The show may have even set a few minds in that direction that may not have considered it previously. Odd to tips the scales towards your "evil plan" so heavily so early. Seems odd. So my counter theory is that our media blurring the lines between what is sci-fi and was it in reality in use is meant for outside forces that have been watching us from afar. Spread just enough actual "insider knowledge" to what is made up and these outside forces start to doubt if our little planet is worth the bother if other forces you know about are also known to that planet.
Just an odd thought about some of our predictive programming. I don't have a solidified belief other than a scepticism of all of them.
