In the current climate of violence, car jackings, murder, assaults and rape, these kids decided to pull a very stupid prank and one almost paid for it with his life. Because of the lax laws that let criminals get away with shoplifting and violent offenders released right back out on the streets in the name of equity, people are nervous and don't rely on "law enforcement" to solve the problem. People are being randomly attacked in broad daylight and folks are just fed up.
Be damn careful who you f*** with.

20 years ago, this would have gotten you a cussing and maybe an ass whoopin'

These days, it'll get you shot.

Oh I'm suffering internet data availability issues today!
Any chance of a description of events, or does it REALLY have to be watched to contribute an opinion?

Yup, I've seen way too many videos of people getting attacked for no reason over the last 2 - 3 years.

Doing stupid pranks like that is a fast way for someone to get hurt.

If I thought someone was about to burn me alive in my car …. I’d pull out a gun too . The kids are lucky they didn’t get shot . … that was a really bad and dangerous prank to pull . They are lucky the guy was so calm and inspected what was going on … instead of just going all gangsta on their A** .

We live in wonderous times. Not sure about the rest of the US, but where I live, no one bothers to call the cops when there's a problem; they just "present arms" and if the miscreant/s do the same, they get blown away. Even then folks don;t call the cops, they call EMS to bring the body bags.

OMG liquid poured from a gas/petrol can, that's an instant perceived risk, totally understand him raising a firearm!
It's crazy to think people still do 'prank stunts' in a nation where the victims can often be armed.
I understand why # like that happens here in Britain, because thugs don't ever expect anything more than a beating if they pick the wrong target...but in a nation lwith concealed carry states...that's just Darwin award stupidity!🤣

All for internet clout...

I suspect most of the young men doing these activities haven't actually met their fathers.

The world needs more of this.

And this.

The destruction of the father figure and the attack on masculinity is driving this. Throw in poverty and desperation that's when you see people really start to act a fool.

As a teenager about 25 years ago, I was a backseat passenger in a friend’s car driving through the city. For some reason, I was in possession of a cap gun. During the drive, we passed a police cruiser, which had its lights on. The officer was outside of the vehicle issuing a citation to another motorist. I, trying to make a girl laugh, lowered and leaned out the window, firing the cap gun in the air screaming “Yeeeeeehaw!” at the top of my lungs. The officer immediately got in his vehicle and pulled us over. He was incredibly gracious, basically enjoining me with “Don’t be a dumbass, son”.

That was one of my more mild antics. I often wonder what would’ve happened if I were to do that sort of thing today, and I can’t help but think it would have gone much differently.

Thank God you only have to be a teenage boy once. That’s what I say.

There is an entire culture dedicated to pranking strangers to get views and get paid. There will eventually be a lawsuit over personal injury or property damage because of one of these asshat pranksters.

Personally I dont think this whole paid for views and monetization of videos will be around much longer. There is no law that says youtube or tiktock has to pay you to run ads on your videos. And they do run ads on channels that arent monetized, so whats stopping them from paying out at all? Plus it has led to an entire generation that thinks they will get rich with a yuotube channel. Im sure we will always have the "influencers" who pimp product, but the I just dont think the pay per view model is sustainable long term.
