California scientist says he ‘left out the full truth’ to get climate change wildfire study published
Patrick T. Brown, a lecturer at Johns Hopkins University and doctor of earth and climate sciences, admitted in an online article in The Free Press, a blog post and a series of social media posts that he distorted the findings of his studies to appeal to the editors at Nature and Science magazines, which are prestigious online science journals.
"And the editors of these journals have made it abundantly clear, both by what they publish and what they reject, that they want climate papers that support certain preapproved narratives—even when those narratives come at the expense of broader knowledge for society," Brown wrote in The Free Press.

If one is over 60 then we know for a fact the weather patterns around our hometown has changed a lot. There was alway snow on the ground from November till the end of February .

so almost as if we were emerging from an ice age, right?
60 years ago they would have said the same thing. But you should be blamed and know it’s all your fault it changed. Feel the shame, the guilt! Like a good catholic, clutch the rosary and drive your ev which is no safer for the environment. Pay tribute to the high priests of carbon credit making billions and committing all the sins you are accused of 10000 fold to grow their empires.

Except we're not - we stopped that 6,000 years ago. We were starting to cool again ....
But that's using climatological facts rather than religion. And from listening to science rather than the mega-super-rich "Elite".
Like all the others, the most recent ice age brought a series of glacial advances and retreats. In fact, we are technically still in an ice age. We're just living out our lives during an interglacial.Feb 18, 2021
Every single climate model predicting catastrophe for the last 50 years has been embarrassingly wrong.

As has been said thousands of times, yes, the climate changes, it always has and it always will. My belief is that we go in cycles much like el nino/la nina and we have 3-4 years between each kind of weather event, and they aren't congruent. Like droughts then rain events, but they don't follow the same pattern as hurricanes hitting the east coast or tornado outbreaks. I base that on life experience and not something learned in science.
But can you trust what you "learned in science"?

True science accepts any and all reality. You do research, you publish your findings, the chips fall where they may. It's how "truth" works. But we no longer live in that world. And now we get to make this political as well. As if we don't have enough political wedges between us already.
Yes the "R"s don't buy into all of this, for reasons much like I pointed out in the OP. We know we are only getting one side of the story. We continue to see this exemplified in most things propagated by the left.
Conversely, the left seems to enjoy lies, and ignoring facts and truth. (the same can be said about the right with regards to covering for Trump's stupid statements and such, so it's not universally on sided) But much like we have seen with the way politics flows, obvious lies, even lies that have been proven to be lies, are still used since they did such a nice job accomplishing their task before. And with the new "there are no repercussions for doing things illegal and wrong if you are on the left" the ability to lie and cheat is only emboldened and proliferated more widely than before.
We have a serious problem with truth, and the fact that one side of the political spectrum sees it, and one works super hard not to, is a much bigger issue than any other we face. Brain washing is likely the reason. But how do we get past this? Or do we just ignore it and continue down the same path? I'd say until the left is willing to entertain the thought that something is wrong with how this is working, we are doomed. And by doomed, I mean, will will be following whatever agenda is at play here, and end up in a really sh!tty spot in the not so distant future.
So what's the deal, do you enjoy being lied to as long as the lie is told soft and sweet?
