The reason for her stupidity really doesn’t matter.

Do you think the criminals are going to abide by this ridiculous carry ban?

The only ones that will be affected by it are the legal concealed carry permit holders.

Based on the majority of actions (or not) taken by Rs.

Im in agreement.

I'm sure the governor will get a sternly written letter just like Fani Willis did, to which she replied, piss off in so many words. SMH!

Might want to put in the OP that the ban is in response to the gun violence and an 11 year old being fatally shot outside of a baseball stadium.

New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham on Friday issued an emergency order suspending the right to carry firearms in public across Albuquerque and the surrounding county for at least 30 days in the midst of a spate of gun violence.

The Democratic governor said she is expecting legal challenges but felt compelled to act in response to gun deaths, including the fatal shooting of an 11-year-old boy outside a minor league baseball stadium this week.

The firearms suspension is tied to a threshold for violent crime rates that only the Albuquerque area currently meets.

Was the boy shot by a law-abiding citizen (legal carry for self protection) ?

Luckily, this will have multiple lawsuits before the end of the weekend with Constitutional and SCOTUS precedent.

In a perfect world, this woman would be removed from office by the end of next week.

"They came across a very difficult scene, where they found a child inside a vehicle that had been struck by gunfire and was deceased. A second individual, a female in her 20s, we believe was also struck and was transported to University Hospital and is considered to be in critical condition," the police chief said.

It was not immediately clear if the two victims are related.

I'd think the gov. would want some more facts before taking drastic action.

I looked at an article on the 11 year old shooting and it seems to stem from road rage. Several other shootings are related from road rage. When are they going to do something about the bad drivers leading to the road rage increase?

KRQE

I am not saying guns are to be used for road rage but something needs to be done to reduce the problem. I don't think a law abiding citizen would resort to shooting over road rage so how exactly is the carry ban to help with the road rage violence problem?

Not when the "Drastic action" is previously contemplated waiting like a
cat to jump out of bag at the first opportunity. These people just have
to wait for large populations to provide the motive for their policies
not ours.

This is the slippery slope, my good friend. It starts in New Mexico, then another governor, like Gretchen here in Michigan, tries the same thing. Then like a bunch of dominoes, all the states fall down, until it's over. After that, it's full-on confiscation of all firearms, then we'll be certain, no more guessing or hoping.

This can happen pretty fast, just look at Venezuela for a recent history lesson.

Just before the presidential election in June 2012, here is something they really needed to pull off, Venezuela bans private gun ownership. Don’t feel bad though, they had a generous buy-back program just before the law went into effect.

"Under the new law, only the army, police and certain groups like security companies will be able to buy arms from the state-owned weapons manufacturer and importer."

The govenor called for a 30 day suspension of concealed and open carry. The response was due in fact to the continued gun violence in the City of Albuquerque. A 11 year boy was shot in a road rage coming out of the Isotopes Ball Park. They're calling this road rage. The police thought it was a gang hit at first . The police did witness this crime but they were directing traffic coming out of the parking lot at the ball park and on foot . I wonder why the police didnt give chase, at least hop in the patrol car and try to catch the suspect's . There is allot questions that need to be answered. But for now it appears politicaly driven by the Govenor . There are allot gang hits and cartel hits here in Albuquerque . Thats right the cartels have set up shop in Albuquerque something the Democrates will never mention or acknowledge. Albuquerque is looking like Juarz Mexico with all there murders.

The governor is wrong for going after the citizens of Albuquerque. We really need to carry for defense and protection. Crime is seriously out of site here and its getting worse. You will be a victim sooner or later of crime in this city. " The governor said she knows the criminals wont abide by her execuitive action, but the citizens will be safe for the next 30 days. WTF does that even mean. How does she even come to a conclusion like that. Then she goes on to say " if your caught carring you will be entered in a civil action for violating the law. Not only is there a ban but also a punishment.
She just took my and everyone elses defense away . and what does this do for the citizens of Albuquerque ? Absolutely nothing.

I suspect crime will increace in the next 24 hours . i suspect many will still carry. Im very sure she will have more law suits thsn she csn phantom especially for the punishment part of her law come mondsy morning. This is an execuitive action , no legislators involved. Her action violates the Constitution of tge United Ststes in more ways than one because she adds punishment. iShe used the state riot act like she did for shutting down business and churches during corvid. Very questionable using the state riot act.

Everyone in New Mexico knows Mayor. Timothy Keller is 70 percent responsible for all the crime in Albuquerque. The rest are the legislators and Governor of the state. It all started with the police killing the homeless man in the desert. They lit him up like he was target practice. You all seen it on the news. The result of that was DOJ taking over of the police department. They got rid allot of bad apples in that department.

A while later At the the same time an election was being held on no bail policies . People thought it meant for no more bail for the accused criminals. It was worded in such a way on tbe ballot to make look like the state of New Mexico was about to make some serious changes for the better. Later we found out that was a complete lie. Criminal can go free no with no at all bail is what it turned out to be

After the firings at the Albuquerque police department the legislators and current governor took away any police protection laws provided to uninformed officers in the state of NM,
Meaing your on own . Nearly half of the police throughout the state of New Mexico left the state. And people wonder why the cartel is in NM now.

Then came defundnd the police from BLM, not only did Mayor Keller defund the police he gave BLM one million dollars of tax money. He later denied that he defunded Albuquerque city police. Then the Mayor called for social workers while making promises to hire more police officers. But 20 million went to a homeless shelter instead. most likey the shelter will never open due to his asbestos cover up with a contractor exposing people to the asbestosis willfully. The EPA fined the city of Albuquerque 750 thousand dollars . Yes , you read it right Mayor Keller purposly exposed workes and others to asbestosis trying to save a buck and got caught along with the contractor. He didnt even bother to tell people in the building to vacate during removal . asbestosis git into the Hvac system and exposed everone in the building. Its a old hospital and 3 stories high . city inspectors blew the whistle . The EPA investigation ruled it was willfull not to mention. The EPA lead investigator was shocked. " You just dont see this stuff , it was willfull. " So no money for police again. Why isnt Mayor Keller in jail right now.

So here we are today still no money for police officers and thats if they want to come to NM let alone Albuquerque. Crime is so out of control , Albuquerque is a war zone now.
Killing and shooting occur every single day. Mayor Keller also put up 2 million dollars of tax money so people can ride the bus free for 2 or 3 years. Here is the kicker though. The homeless criminals , illegal immgrant criminals and drug dealers are using the city buses as get- away vehicles after they Smash & Grab a business or mug a person . you name the crime and the city bus system can be used for it.

So we still have no police . the ranks had very litte increase in the last 6 years , like 50 or 60 maybe. Officers leave weekly. 911 is 50 % chance of answering your call. And 50 % chance the police show up and thsts if 911 answers. I belive the city of Albuquerque is short about 250 police officers. The count is around 850 now we were down lower before. The city of Albuquerque is about 600k and needs a minium of 1200 law officers.

This is the making if the democratic party.

The other problem here is that this govenor will renew her execuitive action every 30 days. Govenor girshman lujan will do the same just as she done with corvid using the NM state riot act.

The New Mexico Governor is too touchy feeling. But if that's what New Mexico residents want... so be it. They could recall her otherwise.

The answer is always no.

But dems-libs-leftists don’t care, because -

1. They’re terribly stupid and truly believe that seizing up all guns will make criminals disappear.
2. They’re GD liars who just love the idea of seizing all guns to make a communist revolution unbeatable. They just have to slavishly support these moronic lefty concepts, even when they know it won’t work.

I guess some incredibly retarded people are acting on the fear of guns and bullets that float around killing people.

I agree, basically.
But I wonder how the hell they get away with all the communication and coordination that must be out there in various systems.
Somebody coordinated the whole Covid fraud, the whole J6 plan, the complete 2020 steal, the Biden bribe machine, and so many more.
Where are the damned hackers that dig this evidence out, and release it to the world ?
It gets done to the GOP and conservatives 24/7/365.
Apparently the only people who could ever do this against the dems or deep state were Assange and Snowden.
How the hell is this possible ? Brilliant hackers are everywhere, just waiting for a payday.

Really good thread, Jin. Thanks for this heads-up content.
Unbelievable, isn't it?

I think 15 or so years ago Alex was right about the blackout
just in time for the revolution. Not only will it not be tele-
vised-- I'm sure by now the artificial sweeteners and nanobots
have drilled holes in my extended family's common sense too.
The double whammy of misunderstanding Dead Air anyway.. urp.

And what's starting to scare me is this starting to STICK.

Lawnmower Man meets Klaatu v.2 . Sounds like a good alt.

PS I feel better now about having a Concealed permit from
one of the toughest Blue states. If THEY say I'm sane enough
for one, I KNOW everything is more broke than KW Shepard's Strat.
