RAF Eurofighter Typhoon FGR4 - Bournemouth Air Festival 1st September 2023

No doubt about it the Typhoon is a beautiful bird , Flt Lt Matt Brighty put the plane through its paces just before Sunset on Friday to show it's got the moves and is more than just pretty face.

Used to love the F4s and EE Lightings on afterburners at Biggin Hill!

I spent many many hours flying this craft back in the day, i loved the sim.

Ted Coningsby has just posted another video from the Bournemouth Air Festival and this one is a bit special , an Avro Lancaster bomber and a Eurofighter Typhoon fly together separated only by 60 years ... Wow.

Both aircraft are based at RAF Coningsby; the Avro Lancaster PA474 is part of the BBMF (Battle of Britain Memorial Flight) inventory and the Typhoon ZJ914 'Blackjack' is flown by 29 squadron's Typhoon display pilot Flt Lt Matt Brighty. Both aircraft are flying at around 120 knot, which is a comfortable speed for the Lancaster. Both aircraft finish with a break, leading to the Typhoon's display which we will have on another video...
