Hi Dollukka!

Yes, I am aware. I used to be on 15mg but after the loss of my father a year ago, my dose was upped to 30mg. I will go back down to 15mg as soon as I am ready.

... I also work in the medical field btw

Don't say warm milk.

That's bass-ackwards....
It's cold milk .
Summer , it will chill a bit and make the bed look and feel better.

I make my own tincture with a plant that is now legal in MI.

I take a few drops in water before bed.

Asleep within a 1/2 hour, all night long.

It's been very helpful.

A few people have said that.
More exercise and do something to keep busy during the day.
I already walk four miles a day.
But could probably add two more if I had to.
Exercise is so BORING though.
I pray my rosary while I walk but still ...

I do some meditation. Basically I think back to all the " safe" places from when I was a kid, real or imaginary. Secret doors in my house that led to rooms that I imagined or dreamt of. Or I envision a park and take in everything around me, my ideal park. Trees, plants, birds, wildlife, natural features. That usually works. Or I just start talking to God. Not praying or asking for anything, just talking about the mechanics of Heaven, what the plans for Earth are. I don't get answered but I'm pretty sure I'm heard. And it shows I'm interested.
One thing from my childhood I kind of miss. You're laying in bed drifting off to sleep and you dream your're running across a field and you step in a hole. You kick in your sleep and it wakes you up. I guess I don't do enough running these days to have that dream any more.

"Happy place" kind of thing? Yeah, tried that. Just keeps me awake.
But it was a good idea.

Now that 420 is legal in dispensaries

I don't know what that is.

infused lemonade works well usually,

Lemonade 'infused'?? Infused with what?

but when it doesn't...Lorazepam.. Dr. prescribed.

I don't want a prescription. I don't want addiction issues.
But I'll keep that in mind in case I get desperate.

420=cannabis

Lemonade infused with 420 tincture

Lorazepam...takes the rough edges off and stops the internal dialog/worrying so you can get quality REM sleep. Available only by prescription.

I'm a very light sleeper, so the slightest noise would have me wide awake with the inability to fall back to sleep. Working ten hour night shifts, I tried everything with no success until I tried Subliminal Sounds.

I bought a tape with ocean waves and a subliminal message for a good nights sleep; it got me to sleep every time within minutes, but I still had the problem of noises awakening me. Broken sleep can be almost as bad as no sleep! So I bought an auto-revers tape player, and for the rest of my working days got an excellent nights sleep every night.

I hope you find something that works for you, FF!

I don't usually respond but I have some great advice for easily falling and staying asleep. I have to be in bed by 8pm as I have to get up at 230am for work. I drink a beer and smoke 2 one hitters for a sixer of tall boys 2 hitters per beer as you make dinner. After you eat it is strait up nap time. I sleep until the alarm. On my days off who knows what time I will get up but it darn sure isn't 230am. Just the ramblings of a man who had to wake up early as he'll.

You might try recording the audio of you sleeping; a cellphone could give a rough idea but a good mic would be required to follow your breathing. Are their precursors to your waking up? I found that I cough lots when I fall asleep for a few hours and perhaps that wakes me up and I can't fall back asleep.

Hard physical labor. I just got a job where I am working a much harder physical job than I ever have before and now I sleep through the night! I used to walk daily. I probably got 3-4 miles in, but it was just walking so it really wasn't high intensity exercise by any means. Then I got divorced after 30 yrs with my now ex and had to go from a stay at home mom into the working world. My job now is much more physically strenuous and I sleep so much better. I used to wake up around 3-4am and not be able to get back to sleep, but now I can go to bed around 9pm and sleep straight through till 6:30

Diet changes could help, but maybe shift your sleep schedule some?

I'll look into that. Someone else suggested audio books. Both seem like good ideas.

I'm not sure what hard physical labor I can do. There isn't any.
But I can increase my exercising. UGH. I hate exercising. It's boring.

I used to wake up around 3-4am and not be able to get back to sleep,

Yeah that's me. 2:30, 3:00, maybe 3:30 ... then awake the rest of the night
until I get up at 5:00 am to walk the dog.

Well, tobacco is a no-no.

Although some people swear a little helps them relax.

I’m retired and walk 5 miles a day. It’s not boring, because I’m with my dog and we’re hiking nature trails. I don’t pray when I walk, but I do use it to clear my head.
