Amazing How Fast Things Disappear.

Yesterday morning Allegheny County Sheriffs Deputies were serving an eviction notice at a house that had been sold at a Sheriff's Auction. The occupant of the house opened fire resulting in a six hour standoff. Hundreds of shots were fired. So many that the Police had to send for a resupply of ammo. The neighborhood was evacuated, schools and hospitals were locked down.

The story was all over the MSM, there was even a part about Biden being briefed on the incident.
The standoff ended when Police shot and killed the shooter.

This morning other than the local news,

the story completely disappeared. When I checked my browser history the only site that still had the story was Fox. None of the other links in the history file would work.

Many of the stories described the shooter as a white male, possibly a white supremacist, MAGA supporter.

The truth is that the shooter was a Black male, Sovereign Citizen believer. Might that have something to do with how fast this was swept under the rug? It doesn't fit the Liberal narrqative.

This news story is everywhere.

According to family members, Hardison had believed he owned the house at the centre of the eviction order. It had previously belonged to his brother, who died recently, and been sold to a private firm, family said.

Hardison was reportedly also a so-called “sovereign citizen”, who believed that he was not bound by federal or state laws.

As for being a 'sovereign citizen' that sentiment goes with people of both political persuasions from the news stories I have read over the decades.

It's also on the CNN.com site but they did not name his name, so I went digging further.

That seems to always be the case. If he had been white we'd hear about it 24/7 for a week or more.

I never have to go looking for information when a shooting makes the headlines, then disappears; it's too obvious.

I was on a visit to a vendor and was close enough to hear the gunfire and sirens. It wasn't until I got back to the office that I found out what was going on. Like I said, it was everywhere and then silence.

I'm in Northern California. My local TV News carried this story both last night and this morning (Aug 27).

This morning's report showed a photo of the victim.


Understandably, this story is currently taking a "backseat" to the mass shooting that happened last night a a biker bar in Southern California.

What a surprise that this individual was such an outstanding member of society....

Kind of beside the point, but imagine buying a house at auction only to have it riddled with bullets during eviction. Seems like they should have taken care of the eviction part before selling it!

Apparently squatting in homes they don't own is just one of a soverien citizen's tactic.

In 2021 multiple Moorish sovereign groups were in the news. One of those groups was the Al Moroccan Empire at New Jersey State Republic whose leader Jaleel-Hu who goes by the title Consul General took possession of (squatted) in a home he did not own, which is a known sovereign citizen tactic. The other group was Rise of the Moors who were in a standoff with law enforcement on July 10, 2021 that shut down a Massachusetts Highway. Members who were arrested at the end of the standoff initially claimed the court had no jurisdiction over them, ere indicted and continued their legal fight in 2022.

Criminality in the movement also remained a problem. On June 2, 2022, second in command of the American States Assembly Teri Sahm was arrested by a swat team at her Washington home after refusing to leave the property post-eviction. People’s Rights Nevada leader and sovereign citizen Josh Martinez was fitted with ankle monitors, one each from the state of Nevada and one from U.S. District Attorney’s in the federal government, which was dropped by the court to one monitor. Martinez was indicted Feb 24, 2021, for allegedly threatening the life of a law enforcement officer.

Sovereign Citizens often abuse the court system with indecipherable filings and, when cornered, many of them lash out, retaliating through acts of paper terrorism and, in the most extreme cases, acts of deadly violence – usually directed against government officials. In May 2010, for example, a father-son team of sovereigns were filmed killing two police officers with an assault rifle when they were pulled over on the interstate while traveling through West Memphis, Arkansas.

Contemporary sovereign citizens hold varying racial ideologies and include a variety of people.

Sovereign citizens have also perpetrated a number of illegal housing-related, money-making schemes, fraudulently occupying and deeding empty homes to themselves and convincing homeowners in foreclosure into quit claiming their property deeds to them. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has recovered tens of millions of dollars from these sorts of sovereign citizen scammers prosecuted for their crimes.
